Re: The Affair

The most important thing that happened was Helen's confession and it wasn't even addressed in the finale. :banghead: It felt like we missed some episodes in between...how could Noah be on the floor in a mess after realizing he knifed himself and suddenly healthy and sane and in Paris? Not to mention...

Re: Can someone explain what's so objectively bad about Hill

As a woman and a NYer who has lived through these years of Clintons and Trumps and knowing two separate trustworthy people close to me that know some of the Trump family and the Clintons (more on that later), I feel my best bet is try to look at this race solely on experience. Not saying how I will ...

Re: Now Watching...

Stranger Things was okay. I think it rides the nostalgia pony a little too hard. The story itself is pretty weak. Nice production values -- Netflix clearly pushes its own stuff as hard as it can. Don't think it's as good as everyone feels it is. i loved the first 5 or 6 episodes. the last few lost ...

Re: Live shows in your agenda?

Just saw The Cure, Stone Roses and Jane's/Dino Jr. What did you think the Roses? They were fantastic. I was really impressed, they sounded great. We left before the end, I was with a childhood BFF and he's Stage 4 terminal with cancer so he gets tired and when he hits the wall we have to get him ho...

I have Mike Peters (from the Alarm) at the tiny Iridium coming up next week, intimate show at dinner tables...and fingers crossed I get chosen in my 10club membership to get Temple of the Dog tickets. That's all for now.

Artemis and Pure Method, I cannot thank you enough! So imagine my surprise when I opened it up thinking that it was something...

Re: Another Scott Weiland "supergroup"

Did anyone say "this is for you Scott"? Anything? I mean fuck, he was a member of Camp Freddy for a bit... Yeah, no mention of him to my knowledge. A friend was there both nights and he said of night one, "They started with an STP song and the first words on stage were "this is for you, Scott". The...

Re: Mourning Son

I watched it on Demand early this morning. It was excellent. I loved it and don't have any criticism. Seriously. Very powerful and unbelievably uplifting at the end. I hear from friends they can't get it on iTunes or Google Play and are vert frustrated but if you have cable it's available on Demand....

Re: Assisted dying

The best documentary I've ever seen on this subject is How to Die in Oregon . Moving and powerful, it follows several people as they make their end of life choices. There it's not exactly physician assisted, rather than being present the doctor prescribes about 100 barbiturates and the patient choos...

Re: Look I made shit Thread!!??!??!?!?!

I didn't make the case, it cost me $30, nor did I make the mics, I/O unit or the yoga mat, but I did measure and cut the yoga mat into three slabs, then mark out the holes then cut the slots out for the items to sit in.... what a great idea to save your equipment from being bashed around! Awesome c...
