Not sure what they play on, but if they end up being on the same track it will be the first time they are on a recording together released to the public in almost 30 years. Wild
NIN|JA Sampler recording of Whores in 2008 would be the last time.

Ticketmaster is giving me a refund for the Toronto show. LifeIsLoud got a refund. Hopefully, she/he/they will see your comments and tell you how they got the refund. Hi! Long time no post...although I've lurked over the years. I'm just embarking on what I assume will be an odyssey of trying to get a refund from Ticketbastard for my 2 Montreal tickets. Their default customer support is an AI assistant (fuck, what has this world come to) which steers you to a proa...

Re: 10 Years of TGEA

Weird, I just listened to this whole album on the weekend for the first time in years...did not realize it was exactly 10 years. I've always really liked about half the album. Irresistible Force really does it for me. I've always liked the mood of it, and the guitar solo. This live version has the b...

Re: Eric on Upcoming Paragon Cause Release

First post in years, but I have been checking in every once in a while! Apparently this "ethereal / shoegaze" band is based in Ottawa, Canada where I live. In the 2000's I was in, arguably, Ottawa's top "ethereal / shoegaze band" (I realize that's not saying much). So, I probably would have been fri...

Re: Perry Farrell on WTF with Marc Maron

First post in a long time! I'm a regular listener of this podcast, mainly because he gets people to really open up about their lives, their past, and what makes them tick. He gets guests to self-reflect. You get to know the "authentic" person. Compared to Marc's other interviews, Perry comes across ...

Re: Nothing's Shocking turns 30

It still holds up well but I’ve always thought the late 80’s production kind of lets it down. Specifically the drums - If they re-recorded the drums it would sound great. The album as it is sounds nothing like Perk. The thing is, they wouldn't have to re-record them to get rid of the all the reverb...

Yeah, Josh Freese is arguably the best all-around drummer alive today. Although he's mostly in the rock domain for live work, he plays in a lot of different genres in studio work.

More likely Chad Smith. RHCP are on hiatus, except for a SF charity show this weekend, and Chad has been doing some studio work, so the timing makes sense.

Anthony Kiedis' Impression of Perry

Thought this was kind of funny. I imagine his impression would be even funnier if he was just doing it amongst friends and for longer.

This interviewer is a complete idiot, making most of this unwatchable. AK is very polite to him through.

Re: EDM makes Lollapalooza founder Perry Farrell “want to vo

He's using the term "EDM" in place of "currently popular dance music". I think he means he just doesn't like the current sound. Maybe the reason his project hasn't got any traction is because it is behind the times. Also, the comments in there from Marc Geiger about the "garden of music" are interes...

When this was first on, this was the first time I saw P4P video footage. I may have never even seen Jane's, even though I was into them for a couple of years at least by this point. Re: New Navarro era RHCP track leaks!

I'm just seeing this now. From about 1997 to 2001 I was one of the most prolific RHCP bootleg traders and after 1998 this song was one of the holy grails in the community. It was written about shortly after it was recorded on RHCP's official web site. People got all excited and then shortly after Da...

Re: Good God's Urge 20

I feel like 1996 was the last hurrah or last breath of a lot of the alternative and grunge movement---as a result of a lot of the albums listed there. A lot of those bands either sucked or broke up after that and the 2nd wave/copy cat bands took over in the mainstream (e.g. Creed, etc.). I listened ...

In Mournings Sun, I distinctly remember a scene from that little film he made with his first wife where he is wearing the pig tails wig and stockings and she cuts him, puts his blood in her mouth and then kisses him.

I watched the movie last night. I liked it, and I think I would have even if I wasn't a Jane's fan. It was a pretty interesting look at someone dealing with a horrific experience throughout their life. I really didn't expect the ending at all. It is unnecessarily long. They easily could have cut out...

Oh, yeah, I'm all about compromise. I've said to my mother-in-law that I have no problem if she wants to take my daughter to chuch from time to time when she's older. But afterwards, I'm going to have an objective talk with my daughter (at an age appropriate level) about what she saw there. I also h...

I don't have a story offhand, but after reading yours... is it weird that your uncle's life sounds like a lot of fun to me (I mean, except for the gay bashing thing)? I mean, maybe there are more horrible things about him... but the pastry chef thing just sounds like something from a Leonardo...
