Re: Porno for Pyros Social Media Update: 06.05.2023

I talked to Pete a bit more. He’s excited to see everyone and to get back on here and chat. He wants to get together and jam with anyone that can at any of the stops. He said that they had recorded some songs and done those few shows, and that was the last he heard from anyone about porno. He thoug...

Re: New Album Producer

And Rein in Blood. Amazing production. Still, that Metallica one is awful. No fucking way I would want him on a new Jane’s album. The Brian Eno shout would be amazing. He would really encourage them to maximize space in the mix.

Who put that nose ring in for Perry? What did it symbolize for him? Most importantly - where did it go?

Re: April 2023 Tour Thread

I have friends who got to know him when they lived in Ojai, CA which is where he lives. They actually said he was a nice guy. Maybe its when touring is involved that his claws come out? :noclue: As for Peter Murphy - the rest of the band all find him insufferable, not just Ash. David J's book is pre...

Love this. Bringing this attitude and perspective to new Janes music is so exciting. His True Love baseline also fits right in with the classic stuff.

Re: April 2023 Tour Thread

I thought it was somewhat interesting that Dan (Eric's guitar tech, formally Daves) said that Daniel Ash is the worst person he has ever worked for. He said he is a prick and hates him with a passion. at 10:20 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lcGVHUl6kvk Weird. Definitely not mincing words. I wonder...

Re: Has the Sexual Revolution been cancelled?

I took my two teenage boys to the recent Bakersfield show, and they loved the women up there. So there you go - the youth still like women with less clothing on.

Re: JA March 2023 Tour Thread

It’s because of Eric. He’s really, really into it. And he’s a fucking monster on stage. The energy he brings drives everyone else on stage. They are all vibing off each other, locked in. It’s awesome.

Re: JA March 2023 Tour Thread

They played Obvious finally!? :yikes: Really hope a clip pops up. Now we need to see Of Course. Thanks for the reviews, Rick and PB! It always surprised me throughout the years that whenever a poll or something on these boards came up a lot of Jane's fans considered Obvious a throway song....

Re: JA March 2023 Tour Thread

I enjoyed listening to the RHCP albums that JK played on upon their release. But I haven’t really gone back to them. The minute Frusciante had left the band for a second time, I wanted Dave back with them. I would’ve been much happier with two followup albums to One Hot Minute than what we got with...

Re: JA March 2023 Tour Thread

Palladium was fucking stunning. I didn't comment on the Bakersfield gig as I was a little underwhelmed - they just didn't have the same umph they had in November. But.Tonight. Fuck. Fantastic. Perry was on a whole other level compared to Bakersfield. He was fluid and sounded so much better. A porti...

Re: JA March 2023 Tour Thread

Yeah — you may not like his playing or look 🙄 or whatever.. But he’s the opposite of Chaney, his own music is inventive and he’s clearly bringing more to the table than just stability. On the last Morrissey track that was released “Rebels Without Applause” — he played guitar on it and he’s doing a ...

Re: JA March 2023 Tour Thread

Been there before - it’s a pretty big venue, especially for Jane’s. Or as one of my teenage boys put it: a band that hasn’t had a hit in over 30 years
They should have booked the Fox Theater - much better and more intimate venue.

They name checked The Gun Club as a big influence, so they must be alright :thumb:
Who/what is Damnage? An old hardcore punk band, or a DJ? Googled and can’t find out for sure.
