Re: Portion of Ticket Profit Going to "Occupy"

So yes, wall street (enabled by the Federal Govt) created the perfect storm for the 2008 economic collapse. The protesters are misguided though. They really should just be down on K street trying to disrupt Congress and the senate. The political system is what has enabled our economy to be in the h...

Re: Portion of Ticket Profit Going to "Occupy"

Oh, and the article you linked about out of control tuition costs being caused by the government not propping up private loans any more, thus making less incentive to take bank loans, and more incentive to take Federal loans didn't make any sense. Isn't the flip argument what you said created the fo...

Re: Portion of Ticket Profit Going to "Occupy"

The debate here is not whether their complaints are legit or not. It's about a lack of definition to those complaints. That lack of definition and lack of answers for the myriad complaints is why the movement will never be more than a small phenomenon in the Fall of 2011. But since we're now discus...

JA was always my band, but when discussing best ever front man I can see where my biases come in and really should be Freddie or Bowie or maybe others mentioned. Maybe Perry is the best for you , but not close to best ever. I just couldn't see Perry capturing 80,000 people in his prime like Freddie,...

Assuming you already know about Calle Ocho in Little Havana. Should be awesome... I loved it there even without the festival. Gooooood food. Re: What's annoying you today?

There were a couple e-mail replies from people that I knew I didn't want coming over to my house. Such as this one from just an hour ago: "hi is your bed still available? are there any stains on the matress did a male or femael sleep on it?" The guy lives in Chile...... I wouldn't worry about him c...

This is all very interesting..... but still sounds quite complicated for an American to get there and do anything. I thought the real challenge was to get back without being detected by US customs. Sounds like there are significant currency issues as well for all visitors. Your trip sounds interesti...

http://www.musicfolio.com/modernrock/killingjoke_killingjoke03.jpg By far my favorite Killing Joke album and sits way up among my all-time favorite albums. That was an enjoyable 6 minutes. :pop:

Some serious drama, interjections, some comic relief and, always my favorite, some ill-tempered confusion.

Though what really could have topped it off was a few more snarky comments from sinep. :noclue:

Kayak is a joke of a travel booking site.......

It's not even a booking site and gives you fares that aren't valid anymore and other fares that are jacked up 50% once you get to the airline booking page.

Orbitz is a joke now too.

What do people use to find the best int'l fares?

Students earn more that 4 points for AP or college level classes. He as a few and the rest are honors classes Wow, is that nationwide? Must be tough for colleges to distinguish GPAs anymore if not. I just got news today my kiddo earned a 4.5 gpa as a first semester Junior. 2 of his classes are the hardest in the school. He finished his Sophmore year with a 4.2333. He's setting up some amazing opportunities for himself. Whatever I had skipped a generation! I think he needs to be in a different...

No, because he has beds all over the 11,000 sf house in the wall alcoves and has no furniture, and the only way to get from one side his bedroom to the other is to go over the bed.

Paris is a must for first time in Europe...or second....or third... or fourth... or fifth. Budapest is nice as well. Cinque Terre in Italy was a nice cheap place to relax on the Riviera. Barcelona is great for old gothic and contemporary culture.
