Re: Coronavirus

Yeah, news and any sort of predictions is crazy now. I've essentially just checked out and skim it once a day. No way to make sense of this. My plan has been to get hyper into my own projects and check back with a more deep dive each week with events. Been working so far, yesterday was fantastic.......

Re: Coronavirus

Anyone's see any future prediction? Where are we in three months, six months? That's what I'd like to know. This is a really good site for projection statistics. Put out by IHME, a reasearch group based out of the University of Washington. It breaks down for US or specific states, updated daily. ht...

Re: Coronavirus

....... The gist was that the West has perverted the notion of 'reason' and confused it with 'efficiency' in markets, leading to effectively a "new mercantilism", where global multinationals take on much of the role formerly played by national governments. That is, we had entered an era basically c...

This is certainly strange times.......

Can't decide whether the world is living out a King or Kafka novel, my impressions are a sprinkle of King and a whollop of Kakfa, while I'm living out my own personal Walden.....

Re: Coronavirus

I don't understand the whole "peaking thing". Why do people think its going to peak? You'd think it would be here as long as there are people to infect. As far as I know the Spanish flu didn't "peak", it was here for a year or something and died off only because everybody were either dead or had be...

Re: Coronavirus

So it looks like CDC will "strongly urge" people to wear some sort of mask when outside in public. I'm fine with that, I just don't like the politics of it all. I actually have (2) N95 masks, 1 used a couple times this past year and a new one because I do a lot of wood work/furniture building with s...

Coronavirus Cases: 1,009,699 view by country Deaths: 52,855 Any bets for for long before we hit 10 million? I'm going to say by the end of April. I'm not deep into the statistical models but if you are including non-symptom/mild reveal cases, wouldnt you say we are there already.....? Those million...

Back to All Comments Rocky commented 7 hours ago Rocky Mesa, AZ7h ago All of this - the sicknesses, deaths, unemployment, bankrupt businesses - could have been avoided if Trump had acted quickly to quarantine the United States. Paradoxically Trump's slow response, done to try to protect businesses ...

I can see the benefits for plastic right now....but I was just generally speaking. They still take cash here everywhere. There are people without cards/accounts and it would be really difficult if it was only plastic. If you only have less than $100-200 ...most of it is spent on fees in a bank accou...

Re: Coronavirus

Does anybody know if they have an idea of the percentage of exposed people contracting the virus (even if it doesn't show) vs exposed unaffected? I suppose it needs to be broken down with age groups as well. Seems that would tell us a lot about where we are with this. Of course, the figures known in...
