Perry’s performances always suffer when he doesn’t appear very passionate about it.

I wonder if he’s basically doing the tour to round things off (and to make some money for Pete) but his head is already onto Jane’s.

I also agree this is as good as anyone should rightfully expect...and it makes me think of strays and tega...but also porno...and Jane's...so good enough I’m also reminded of Insanity Rains. Need to listen again but the trippy breakdown section was my favourite part.

To my mind the producer's role is mainly about having a vision for the project and the resources / contacts / budget (brought or negotiated) to realise that vision. It doesn't necessarily require technical knowledge of the studio, that's what the recording, mix and mastering engineers are for; BUT ...
