A-Rod "retired" like Nixon retired.
A-Rod retired to save the embarrassment that a player job hunt would demonstrate that truly no one wants him.

Re: Can someone explain what's so objectively bad about Hill
Okay, so for you it is the email thing. But like, what about it exactly? You call it "unethical". But what, specifically, was unethical about the use of the private email server? And would this be enough on its own to make you think Hillary Clinton is "bad"? Why? You refer to "a huge amount of high...

Re: Can someone explain what's so objectively bad about Hill
Just take the e-mail server. Yes there is nothing prosecutable as a crime. But a huge amount of highly unethical activity, and when investigations through the past several decades make the same sort of conclusion of not criminal, but quite unethical. You can't just keep saying not QUITE criminal and...

Re: Can someone explain what's so objectively bad about Hill
She hasn't been convicted of a crime, so no full fledged criminal behavior, but the evidence of shady dealings reached "don't vote for" long ago. Yet keeps building up. Nearly day to day.

Re: Can someone explain what's so objectively bad about Hill
The problem is the perception people have of Hillary. As you pointed out, she has never been convicted of any crimes but the "criminal" label has stuck with her. It's tough to rebrand that. During the RNC a big effort was made to make her seem more empathetic, softer, more feminine. I guess people-...

Re: Donald Trump running for President.
I'll be voting, but for POTUS, I'm skipping that block this time around. I've also re-registered as an Independent. Luckily, you're in CA, so it doesn't matter too much if you don't cast a ballot for president. Unfortunately, registered voters, not voting, does not mean what it really should, it sh...

Re: Headed back to the hospital
isn't it a damn shame this country can't take care of it's own? Beyond so. Medical care should not be beholden to shareholder profits. One side here just fights tooth and nail to not Socialize health care, like a civilized country, because Socialism is a synonym for evil they say. They just lo...

Re: Headed back to the hospital
Just got word from the pharmacy that Medicare denied me the new prescriptions. They now deny me 5 of my 9 prescriptions. I was forced onto it after two years on disability. My Obamacare insurance paid everything I needed, no out of pocket. Medicare seems to just take ALL of my food money, and denies...

Re: Headed back to the hospital
They didn't keep me. They ran several additional tests on blood, over the usual tests, and I now have 4 additional prescriptions. Some other things were accomplished I got a referral to a Social Worker to help get get additional help getting some more financial aid so no money for food isn't an even...

Headed back to the hospital
I'm going in the hospital. Hopefully just a night or. One location I've tone all of my stays in has Internet access, but I don't know if they have it installed in the location that I live closer to. Don't expect it's the end, but never know.

Re: Choice 2016
18 and older registered voters..pretty much any us citizen who wants to...can vote on nov. 8th(minus convicted felons in some states) But then there's the Electoral College. Every state popular vote elects the electors to it. So win in a state by a single vote, and they get all of the state's elect...

Re: Official MLB Thread
This year, we have a great comedy troupe here, called the Reds pitching staff. They have two go to routines. One is to walk the 6 or so batters in a row. The other is to walk the first 3 or 4, then give up a monster home run. They also like to let extra inning games turn into blow outs. As of tonigh...

I don't watch or follow basketball, but can't help but hear what goes on. From my vantage point this whole series sounds almost scripted by Hollywood.
Is there anything funny going on, or is that just nuts?

Re: Donald Trump running for President.
So, Cruz is out. This is getting kinda scary. Cruz was whole different kind of horrible, but would've been trounced by either Democrat. But Hillary is unpopular enough even among some Democrats, that pretty much had her forced on them that Trump's idiot brigade could vote him in. Part of me wants t...

Yet another old friend committed suicide
I have just been surrounded by death this year. A friend that goes back to grade school jumped off a bridge into the Ohio river now. Since July I've lost my dad an uncle and two friends that go back to childhood. Meanwhile my own health continues to deteriorate. I suddenly stopped retaining fluid in...

Re: Donald Trump running for President.
He did show up in Cincy today. It was held at a much smaller venue on the outskirts of town, rather than the large venue in the heart of downtown it had originally been planned for. Apparently only two protesters made it inside, so there wasn't any real trouble.

Free speech just says the government can't make a law against you speeching. It can make laws against you being places where you want to speech, or not make laws stopping other people from stopping you from speeching. Also, why is the hillbilly speaking in the first-person plural? Does he think tha...
