Re: Coronavirus

You are seeing the growing (US) government "commandeering" of major US corporations that was seen in WWII, which considering the circumstances and behavior of some noted major companies like GM, is frankly necessary right now. I also believe that a US company serves the US and it's citizens first in...

cool and fucked up at the same time, cause it hangs on "Confirmation of payment", so I can't download it. Anyone knows a way around this please let me know :nyrexall: Site and more probably, their pay portal is likely getting hammered. Give it some time, try late at night or really early in the AM.

Re: Coronavirus

I drove my wife to the mall this morning to make sure everything's secure and there weren't problems after shutting it down this week. The SoCal freeways are running I'd guess about 30% of normal traffic, it's very much Christmas Day light. As expected, a number of homeless people hanging out inside...

I think people have forgotten Warren is still in the race too.
Or that she's not? (3.5.2020)
See? I forgot she even dropped out. And she hasn't endorsed anyone yet has she?

Cali's gov just said 56% of Cali will have it in 8 weeks...fun!
The thing about that number is, most of us won't be able to get tested and ever know for sure unless we're exhibited strong symptoms.

Re: Coronavirus

My new normal is waking up early and getting out as soon as possible to see what what I can find in the stores. I go to a bunch of different drug stores, supermarkets and dollar stores. I'm not hoarding, just trying to find enough supplies, mainly cleaning products that I'll share with my mother. I...

Re: Coronavirus

Starting to see subtle signs in growing numbers of people already cracking under the stress. Mostly online forums that have a political or "off topic" thread similar to ours where some individuals are just lashing out, running through all these "what if" scenarios, perseverating on the doom and gloo...

Re: Coronavirus

Had to go to what turned out to be several stores just to pick up a few regular grocery items today. Blown away how cleaned out stores are. Paper goods, cleaning supplies and water gone last week, now it's canned food, meat and dairy. Bar soap was tough to find. Fruits and Veggies look to be next on...

Re: What's annoying you today?

Hilarious. Things have been pretty tame here, the shelves are a little less stacked than usual (mostly eggs and beans seem to be running low) but then two days later it's totally re-stocked. What did you pick up at anyway? Just curious I picked up: The Cult - Sonic Temple 30th Anniversary 5 CD Box ...

Re: What's annoying you today?

I went out today to Amoeba Records in Hollywood, probably not a great idea not because of the Zombie Apocalypse but wtf, I can't rely on Amazon for all my entertainment needs. Because most of the drive from Huntington Beach was in a surprise localized downpour, that made freeway driving a bit dicey....

Re: Poll: Biden or Sanders has better chance vs. Trump?

I like Bernie. I agree with so much of his platform. But the establishment democrats appear to be dead set on preventing him from the nomination. Yep, the fix is in, that's just politics. IMO after the early leads Sanders posted the first few weeks, the Dem party woke up and realized that if they w...

The misinformation, hysteria and politicizing of this event is astounding. You would think civilization has days left and we'll soon be facing the zombie apocalypse.

Re: Democratic Presidential Campaign 2020

Most of the debate, it was like a circular firing squad, especially with Warren flaying about going after everyone else. At one point, it was old white guys arguing about stents and which wealthy guy had more/better houses. You can bet Trump has to feel good after seeing/hearing about the debate, es...

Okay, I don't know why this is pissing me off so much. But I decided to get in the "waiting list" line for the Cruel World fest and now they will charge you $289 per tickets for the GA if one happens to become available. I got out of line. https://lyte.com/cruelworld/Cruel-World-114498/buy/to_ticke...
