Heh, the thing is, I hate smoking too. I've never even smoked a joint despite my best friend being a serious pothead and roommate off and on through my 20's.

Re: Coronavirus
I feel the exact opposite...I really wanted the two shot it's almost 30% more effective at preventing covid :noclue: And like 10% better at serious covid prevention...and since you can still pass it to those without the vaccine..seems a no brainer...well at least people are getting what they wanted...

Re: Coronavirus
Today is 2 weeks after my 2nd dose. No symptoms after shot 1 (Moderna). Awful, Awful flu like symptoms for 24 hours after shot 2. I couldn't get out of bed. However, very, very happy to be fully vaccinated. Yeah, I hear from a lot of people who got the 2nd Moderna shot that you feel like absolute c...

Re: Coronavirus
I have been waiting patiently for word on my invitation to the line. I've had multiple opportunities to get vaxed through various means, but have declined. I'm a Kaiser member and 54 years old. Kaiser called last Thursday with a message that I was now eligible; I called...twice and left vm's and ha...

Re: Coronavirus
I wonder how Perry got his vax (his 2nd?) ahead of most of the under 65 crowd last week? California didn't open up to the under 65 crowd being eligible until today and those are only people who are essential workers or those with pre-existing conditions. Maybe he got it as a bonus with his latest ro...

Holy shit, I didn't hear anything about this until doing a bit of research before sitting down to file my taxes. "Last week, the Senate made changes to the Covid relief bill passed by the House of Representatives that impact tax filing in the middle of the 2020 season. A key update in the bill, whic...

Yeah, I’m not too high on humanity these days. Last Friday I got a call from my insurance regarding the accident where I got hit in front of Fingerprints Records in Long Beach last Summer. Turns out the guy that broadsided me and then slammed head on into another car later claimed neck injury and wa...

So I had my first major run-in with an idiot in a grocery store who made a big deal about not wearing a mask. I was in line about to pay for groceries when the clerk noticed this guy in a motorcycle outfit w/no mask doing self-checkout in the next isle over. The clerk tells the guy he needs to wear ...

Re: Ashes and Diamonds (new Daniel Ash band&album)
I'll check this out, but I haven't been super impressed with much of Ash's stuff the last couple'a decades. Poptone was ultimately just ok.
I have to say, at this point I'd be more psyched for a Love And Rockets reunion especially with a new album than Bauhaus.

Looks like Trump will be not be convicted in the upcoming impeachment trial. I forgot about Sasse and Murkowski Always pretty much a given...... :noclue: .. Unless Democrats come up with some completely compelling and unknown testimony! :drink:  I could see Sasse/Collins/Murk voting not to con...

Re: Coronavirus
Hospitals are pretty full here, but we seem to be doing better than in other parts of the country. I've been coming across some pretty horrifying reports about California; it's like the way NY was times 10. :nyrexall: I think CA hasn't gotten as much nationwide coverage though since the past few we...

I dunno if I'd say "RIP," maybe more like "BIH" to Phil Spector. He caught Covid in a California prison serving a sentence for murdering a woman he picked up at the Hollywood House of Blues, bringing her back to his place and depending on the story, either purposely or accidently shot her in the fac...

Re: Donald Trump running for President.
It's not going to get done in the Senate until after the new Senate convenes and Biden takes office. McConnell won't take it up until probably sometime in February. A few reasons for not ramming it through this week include some in the Senate are terrified of further inflaming the crazies or at leas...

Re: Donald Trump running for President.
Like Nausea, I don't understand how the rioters got as far as they did. Yes, the large number overwhelmed the police there but, I would think that there are people in the government whose job it is to monitor social media, and various hate groups to keep tabs on what they're doing. If some of the r...
