Another death in the Jane's community

From hydro's fb profile: Condolences from all of us in the Jane's Addiction community. David Michael Brandt was a huge fan and contributer to the art and history of the band through countless ticket scans, pictures and flyers. He did the art for flyers from back in 80's at Cathay Degrande, the real ...

Re: Movies or "the breakdown of jasper"

I just watched Swiss Army Man. https://variety.com/2016/film/news/daniel-radcliffe-farting-corpse-swiss-army-man-trailer-1201744802/ yrK1f4TsQfM I think it could have been better if it hadn't been trying so hard to be... something, but I'm not sure what. I kept wanting to give up on it because it w...

Re: Movies or "the breakdown of jasper"

I agree... For the last couple of weeks I haven't been able to get tickets for Alfonso Cuarón's "Roma". It sells out the day they're out, anywhere. It will premiere on Netflix on Dec. 16, but I really wanted to see it in a movie theater with Dolby Atmos sound system since it doesn't have a music sco...

Because it had a happy ending? I liked it nevertheless. At this age, I enjoy happy endings more and more :bday:

Re: The last time you saw Jane's live

Lollapalooza 2009. Wanted to be on Eric's side, but made it to Dave's side. Up the rail. It was my only show. I was so excited that some guy was taping a video and me and my friend were like complete fangirls when he asked us who were we looking forward to see and we screamed "Jane's Addiction!!". I...

Re: What's annoying you today?

I have a music festival coming up soon. Usually, I get more excited when it gets closer, but this time I'm dreading it. I don't know if I want to go for two days just to see a couple of bands I'm interested in. I only want to see the Chemical Brothers and maybe NiN (I'm not a huge fan, but I've alwa...

Re: Now Watching...

I started watching a new series created by the guy from Mad Men. It's called The Romanoffs. I've just watched 2 episodes, so far so good...

There's another new show with Julia Roberts, first 3 episodes have been interesting and they're short, so it's been very addictive.

Re: Now Watching...

I was watching Jeopardy about fifteen minutes ago and Jane from Jane's Addiction was one of the answers. Anyone else see it? The clue was something like "I'm done with Sergio, he treats me like a ragdoll". And the answer was who is Jane. Not sure exactly what the category was. Jane Bainter posted t...

I thought it was interesting, though neither is out of jail (Brendan/Steven). But yeah, I liked the first part better.

Re: Now Watching...

Other shows I've enjoyed: Un Extraño Enemigo on Amazon Prime Video, about the '68 student movement and massacre. It was kinda emotional to watch since we celebrated 50 years of the student massacre. Daniel Giménez Cacho was great as always (check him out, he's one of my favorite Mexican actors, he h...

Re: Movies or "the breakdown of jasper"

I highly recommend the new Gael García Bernal movie. It's based on the robbery of the National Archaeology Museum in 1985.
Too many 80's nostalgia and funny stuff that actually happened in real life. P.S. It's going to be on YouTube premium soon.

I enjoyed that one (thought it was more psychological horror) and I'm enjoying Sabrina.
