Re: What's annoying you today?

For the first time in 10 years I didn't send any Xmas cards. Got to spend Xmas with my family, but I just wasn't happy. I missed my cousin's calls this year.
However, I don't think anyone was going to miss my cards.

Re: Coronavirus

Cases are going up again here too. Today Ontario had 531 new cases. Of those, 456 are unvaccinated, 75 were fully vaccinated. To date , 74% of people in the province 12 and older are fully vaccinated. Here most cases have been unvaccinated. Unfortunately there have been breakthrough cases for vacci...

Re: Coronavirus

I had my Astra Zeneca jab a month ago. Felt awful the next day. No temperature but weirdly, felt extremely hot and lethargic. Woke up at 3 am and could't get back to sleep. Was absolutely fine the next day albeit a sore arm. I felt like crap 8 hours after my first shot (chills, headache, muscular a...

These days after not interacting with anyone physically besides the people I live with since March of last year, etty makes me feel much better. I can say that I sing way better than her and don't need my partner to constantly tell me how great and beautiful I am.

Anya Taylor-Joy is my newest crush
She's such a chameleon.
A tv series I recently watched that I really enjoyed is Merlí on Netflix (Catalan series)
The last season was a bit soapish but nevertheless, I liked it a lot.
Can't wait for The Crown's new season this Sunday.

Re: How to avoid getting killed in Mexico

That's what I thought. Didn't know if this guy was still affiliated with official/current Mexican affairs, thus making it a US intervention. Don't know that backstory, but hopefully he gets prosecuted and pays for his crimes. Nope, he was in Peña Nieto's government. I've been reading a book called ...

Re: How to avoid getting killed in Mexico

Who says that? This guy and others are being seeked by the DEA, good for them. He deserves it. But it seems that this guy has ties with people over there so who knows if he will be punished. They've been saying that he's too old to serve life in prison. I say fuck him. What I'm not ok is with the US...

Re: Coronavirus

I went to my first social occasion about 10 days ago. It was supposed to be 5 people and ended up 10. A couple of the people there didn't take COVID seriously and felt that the government was controlling people and business...very similar to the anti-maskers in the US. I declined hug&kiss greetings...

Re: Now Watching...

I finished watching last week "My Brilliant Friend". Lovely Italian tv series. Each episode seems like a movie on its own, that's how beautiful it was made. This last weekend I finished watching "Little Fires Eveywhere". It is a bit soap operish and I was interested in watching it because it was pro...

Watched this one recently, it was actually very fast paced and entertaining. Reminded me a bit of "The Vice" how it was filmed.

Re: Movies or "the breakdown of jasper"

I did, too bad you didn't like it. Broderick is top notch in that flick and so is Reese. Yeah well, you're not alone in liking it, it gets a 92% rating over at Rotten tomatoes, which is fucking baffling to me. To me it's on the level of Friends or something, but to each his own, right........

Re: Movies or "the breakdown of jasper"

Last night we watched Midsommar, a kind of horrorish film. It was quite decent for the most part. Nice cinematography and it has several teather-like moments, but some scenes felt a bit off and a couple of the performances were very lame. 5.5/10. The main actress, Florence Pugh, is ridiculously bea...

How are you dealing with fake news? Here they are trying to make this a political issue but also some stuff are so fucking hilarious.
