Re: Coronavirus

Doesn't sound good at all... Boris Johnson has been moved to intensive care after his condition worsened, Downing Street has said. The prime minister has asked Foreign Secretary Dominic Raab to deputise for him "where necessary". A Number 10 spokesman said: "Over the course of this afternoon, the co...

Re: Coronavirus

Our Prime Minister is in hospital now as a "precautionary measure"....I know he is in government but how many people are admitted because of this? Zero. Something's not right. I think I read that he had had pneumonia once before when he was younger. That is a *very* bad sign, because this virus see...

Re: Coronavirus

A friend shared this earlier. Hey everybody, as an infectious disease epidemiologist (although a lowly one), at this point feel morally obligated to provide some information on what we are seeing from a transmission dynamic perspective and how they apply to the social distancing measures. Like any g...

Re: Coronavirus

Just seeing the military are already in Johannesburg. 6 people in one shack ordered to stay in, isn’t happening. It could escalate massively in Africa.

Re: Coronavirus

Will we go into an economic depression and keep everything closed? Or will certain places open back up for business and gamble with the virus. Which will cost more lives? This is the crossroads about to happen the next month. I think so. This isn’t going away anytime soon. You can forget any of thi...

Re: Coronavirus

Yes, the UK has reported in a number of places that the US will be the ‘new’ epicentre in the coming weeks. All I’ve heard Trump say is ‘Terrific’, ‘Tremendous’, ‘really great’ when talking about what the US government is doing for its people. And opening the US by Easter?? Jesus fucking Christ.

Re: Coronavirus

Looks like we’re going on ‘lockdown’ from tonight. A week too late IMO. Ugh. But better late then never. The level of irresponsibility and greed from the higher ups is nothing short of despicable. In Chile, we're in curfew from 10pm to 5am, supposedly so that people stay home... and yet, the dictat...

The shit has just hit the fan here.

The UK, today/tonight has closed schools, bars, pubs, clubs, restaurants, cinemas you name it, it’s closed. Army is ready for deployment in London and one hospital has reached a critical level already.

Stay safe everyone.

Re: Coronavirus

We do have butcher shops as well, I may have to try my luck there, and as Panda said, pay a little more than what a supermarket would charge. It’s got to be worth it. You’ll pay extra, but you should get what you want and it’ll be better quality than the supermarkets. I’m going tomorrow morning to g...
