Re: Movies or "the breakdown of jasper"

Went to see Bohemian Rhapsody on Saturday. Thoroughly enjoyed it. In fact, more than that. I'm not a HUGE Queen fan, but this film was perfect.

I enjoyed the Bodyguard!!
Hope the other show is on Netflix soon.
It was very good, although I was disappointed with the last episode. I'm watching Killing Eve now, enjoying that.

Re: Podcasts

Not sure if anyone's interested, or whether or not BBC podcasts work stateside, but these series of podcasts were compelling listening. https://www.bbc.co.uk/programmes/p06qc33m/episodes/downloads Eight episodes on the David Koresh story from 1993. Something I remember but never really delved into. ...

Re: What Broke Your Jane’s Fandom?

I went 12 years between seeing this amazing band in 1991 that I became obsessed with to seeing them in 2003 thinking...."urgh". It was a cold winter evening in Wolverhampton, I was drunk and I managed to meet the band outside after a shitty gig. Well, I'll use the term 'met' loosely. I spoke to Step...

Re: What are you reading?

Cool, thank you. Definitely, definitely interested in the Cure and AK. And Faith No More, yes please! I’ve never been a fan of Springsteen but I imagine he’s got some very interesting stories. I remember Tom Morello speaking about him on Nikki Sixx’s show. He was saying his E street band was superb ...

Re: What are you reading?

Can anyone recommend a really good music autobiography? Reading Lemmy's at the moment. Ideally I'd like another 80's style one like Slash, The Dirt or Duff's one purely because my head's in that era at the moment. I'm quite happy to go elsewhere though.

£105 to see Metallica, STANDING in the UK next year at a football stadium.

You're having a giraffe. What's more annoying is Ghost are supporting and I want to see them. But 105 quid, Christ on a bike, no chance.

Re: Bbc shows killing eve and the bodyguard

I really enjoyed the Bodyguard up until the final episode. I thought the ending was a bit lame. I've heard good things about Killing Eve so may give that a go.

For some bizarre reason I rewatched the entire 3 series of The Inbetweeners the other day. Still howling watching those.

Re: What kind of phone should I get?

Does anyone have an iWatch? Would you recommend one? The series 4 looks great. I'm have a Fitbit at the moment but I'm limited as to what it does. Maybe it does enough? I do have an iPhone 6 and like the idea of it being linked with the iWatch for everything. iWatches are 'nuff dollar though

Re: Nothing's Shocking turns 30

Kettle Whistle the song doesn't really fit in with the overall vibe of Ritual in my opinion. As much as I love the track It might sound a little out of place. It's weird, I have Kettle Whistle on in my car at the moment, and I always relate to that song to relapse and more importantly Flea. The re-...

I know a lot on here prefer NS to Ritual but I’m in total agreement with the 80’s production and poor drum sound. Obviously still immense though.

Off to see Maiden tomorrow. Every year I always go on impulse saying that this is the last time they'll tour blah blah. Stage set (and set list) looks great though.
