Idles. Might be my favorite band of the moment. Touring the US in a couple months, looks like the Fonda Theater show on 5/22 in LA may be my first show of 2019.
Yes mate, bloody brilliant band - absolutely thunderous live. Seeing them again a couple of times later this month.

Re: NFL

As a brit, i absolutely love this thread. I've been an enormous NFL fan since the mid 80's (given that, unsurprisingly a 49ers fan as it was really easy for my folks to get me a Montana top!) and try to follow everything as closely as i can. There's still loads of little things (rules etc) that i do...

Re: Christine McVie and Lindsey Buckingham duet album

I can't believe this new line-up is playing two nights at Wembley Stadium in the UK... fair play, first show is sold out but tons of tickets left for the second. I've attended the last couple of tours but it's not FM without Lindsey for me... zero interest. Funnily enough, i was xmas shopping last w...

Yes! I love this band... the EP that that song is from is brilliant. Another great song is Clean Slate from an earlier release. Seeing them soon, cant wait.

Re: Live shows in your agenda?

Awesome, I've been listening to the Its a Shame about Ray, Come one Feel and Baby, I'm Bored a lot recently. Weirdly, I'm a lot more into them now even though I went and saw them a few times in the 90s and 00s! Hello mate! Hope you're keeping well. Only just seen this, sorry for delayed reply. As s...

Re: Live shows in your agenda?

Been to a ton of shows this year already and the latest was last week in London with King Gizzard and the Lizard Wizard. What a fucking band they are... about to drop their 2nd album of the year.

Next up is Pixies at a small club show and then a load more over the coming months.

I've never liked U2. Ditto. Obviously not to make a deal of it in a thread that is clearly about people liking U2 but I've never had the slightest inclination to listen to them. Probably my loss but there you go. On a loosely related note to this thread, any time Panda and KV wanna release a book a...

I saw Dinosaur Jr last week in London - as incredible as ever. Played half the new album and it all blended perfectly with the older stuff.

What a band.

"Fucking amazing" just about covers it... I've loved everything about it (one episode to go... purely saved off from watching so that i had motivation to get thru a Monday at work).

Re: Live shows in your agenda?

Caught Beck in Brixton last month. I've seen him a ton of times since '94 and it's great to see that he's back to his best performance wise - definitely had a lull a few years back after some injury or other. The past 2 shows i've seen have been the 2 sides of Beck's musical output... the first was ...

Re: Ticket for kentish town

So, this was the first Jane's London show in ages that i've missed... and missed through choice rather than circumstance. It's a week since the show now and it simply hasn't crossed my mind - doesn't look as though i missed out on anything either. What did amuse me through last week was that i saw o...

Hey jgp - good to hear from you! Cool bonus with Download... even i wouldn't have an issue with walking from one stage to another! It was just the whole mix for me... lack of enthusiasm, a monday in the smoke, ticket price etc. A little surprised at myself for passing on Ritual but there you go... g...

Nose very clean! I really, really hope you get a GREAT show... I don't expect it but maybe they'll all be in super moods and nail that shit down! Will anyone be going to the Forum gig.....? Silly question, thought not. No... to be honest, the gig hasn't even crossed my mind since it was initially announced. Got to say, i thought it was boring... crap even. I watched it on catch-up and fast forwarded some of the bits. To be honest though, i'm only really in it for the white walkers.

Proper gutted with this one - what an artist. My wife is a huge fan, absolutely loves him. Saw him a bunch of times and his songs are still on in the house pretty frequently... my kids like loads of his songs. But then again, who doesn't.

Fuuuck. I'd totally go see Dino. Yeah, got to admit that as soon as i saw the tour info last week, i was straight onto Dino's website to make sure they couldn't turn up as support to the UK Forum show in June. Thankfully they're in Germany otherwise i'd have had to go the tout route to get a ticket...
