Re: Dave's Return?
I was lucky enough to see them in a small club in late 2003, right before they broke up again. The tension was palpable, and for the Chaney era, it was incredible. Yea, I saw what I assume was Chaney’s first show, the London one in Aug ‘02. I swear even now that it was incredible. They never really...

Re: Dave's Return?
I’m so looking forward to Thursday. I missed out on the small (and free!) nightclub show in 2009 as my kids were in a school play! Waited 15 years to see a show this small. Only ever saw one club show with original line-up, back when I was 16. If this happens, consider me done. Done, other than the ...

First show is now the 23rd… they just added an earlier London show. Haven’t seen them for YEARS, now doing 3 shows in 10 days or so. Fuck this band.

Re: P4P FAREWELL Tour Dates.....
To be honest, no UK shows pretty much killed my interest in the tour. Given the relatively poor sales, I can understand not touring wider, but it’s still made it feel like a non-event. Shame, as my love for PFP isn’t too far behind that for Jane’s, but is what it is.

Re: Pete's Dad - new release
usOsgOnSBq4 Is this a new studio version? Or an unreleased studio version from back in the day? Either way, sounds divine. I remember hearing the live version on the Sadness single digipak (yeah boi, remember those??) Just phenomenal..  Yep, that digipack was how I first heard it. Bee...

Re: UK/European Tour ‘24…with Dave
Now got an 8 day run that will be King Gizzard, Janes, King Gizzard, Janes. Epic, almost as good as my recent 3 Dino Jr shows in 4 nights!

Re: UK/European Tour ‘24…with Dave
Might go to Cologne as well. But djees, 70 € for a ticket? Maybe I've not been going to a lot of shows recently, but still seems steep to me. Don't know if I want to spend that money/go through the trouble of getting to Cologne on a weekday if Dave is not in the band. Certainly since I'll be seeing...

Re: UK/European Tour ‘24…with Dave
Got my ticket for Madchester  See you there. Grabbed a couple for Manchester and a single for Monday night Roundhouse. At the mo, I’m not free for that but got it on the off-chance. Haven’t seen them, or been remotely interested in seeing them, since Nothings Shocking run-through shows. Maybe...

Yea, Stephen has already said as much on his IG… more dates to be announced soon. Last show was Ritual run-through I think. I’ll def go if dates suit, nostalgia or otherwise.

Re: Dave's Return?
Yea, just saw that too. Nice line-up with Dino too. Busy that weekend seeing King Gizz, but hopefully some other shows around that time. Can’t say I listen to Janes at all now but those last shows def piqued my interest.

Re: JA March 2023 Tour Thread
Loving the clips (cheers PB) and really enjoying this new lease of life they’ve got with E’s return. Don’t get the knocking of Josh, I think he’s awesome up there being himself. If Dave ever actually wants back in, I’d quite like him there as well as, rather than replacing… band would work as a five...

Re: JA March 2023 Tour Thread
Was always gonna need something interesting like this to make me think about them again! It’s cool to see them taking this so seriously… new song is such a great nod to where they’re heading, even allowing for the Men At Work vibe.

Re: Porno for Pyros Reunion July 30th
Yeah, what PB said basically. I thought both Jane's songs sounded great but IWFY was wonderful and I've played the arse off it today.
Hoka has said it a bunch I think but I'd just love a tour with all of them on stage jamming the shit out of Jane's and Porno songs... call it what you want.

Re: Porno for Pyros Reunion July 30th
Not one for band tees but been down in the UK west country for the past few days - living in shorts and slaps and messing around in the ocean... very PFP mood so took one along. Wore it today and got a "love that fucking band" comment from another 40-something... Go online and find this has just hap...

Yes mate, bloody brilliant band - absolutely thunderous live. Seeing them again a couple of times later this month.Pandemonium wrote: ↑Thu Feb 28, 2019 1:20 pmIdles. Might be my favorite band of the moment. Touring the US in a couple months, looks like the Fonda Theater show on 5/22 in LA may be my first show of 2019.

As a brit, i absolutely love this thread. I've been an enormous NFL fan since the mid 80's (given that, unsurprisingly a 49ers fan as it was really easy for my folks to get me a Montana top!) and try to follow everything as closely as i can. There's still loads of little things (rules etc) that i do...

Re: Christine McVie and Lindsey Buckingham duet album
I can't believe this new line-up is playing two nights at Wembley Stadium in the UK... fair play, first show is sold out but tons of tickets left for the second. I've attended the last couple of tours but it's not FM without Lindsey for me... zero interest. Funnily enough, i was xmas shopping last w...

Yes! I love this band... the EP that that song is from is brilliant. Another great song is Clean Slate from an earlier release. Seeing them soon, cant wait.Artemis wrote:I just heard this song and band today for the first time. Really liking this track, love The Cure vibe.

Awesome, I've been listening to the Its a Shame about Ray, Come one Feel and Baby, I'm Bored a lot recently. Been to a ton of shows this year already and the latest was last week in London with King Gizzard and the Lizard Wizard. What a fucking band they are... about to drop their 2nd album of the year.
Next up is Pixies at a small club show and then a load more over the coming months.

I've never liked U2. Ditto. Obviously not to make a deal of it in a thread that is clearly about people liking U2 but I've never had the slightest inclination to listen to them. Probably my loss but there you go. On a loosely related note to this thread, any time Panda and KV wanna release a book a...
