So, I just had a peek at Dave's Instagram -no activity for 5 weeks. I also checked his fiancee's 's account and saw some photos from yesterday. Looks like she's using. I suppose it could be a tick bite or suspension hole...if she's into that. Nary a peep about music from DN. I shouldn't assume that...

+1 for SYTBS The production was a bit dated even for its time. Not many rock artists get the transition into electronica right. But Perry's record had just enough quirkiness and sparkly-eyed new-age goodwill to make it endearing to me. There are a few moments which even make me feel quite emotional...

No idea what level of functional they are, whether one is more together than the other, or how deep in the bag Dave really is, but I do know that it’s fucking weird to see him become some kind of instajunkie influencer. Everything is so stylized and manicured but there’s grimness beneath the veneer....

To my mind the producer's role is mainly about having a vision for the project and the resources / contacts / budget (brought or negotiated) to realise that vision. It doesn't necessarily require technical knowledge of the studio, that's what the recording, mix and mastering engineers are for; BUT ...

Doesn’t seem to be a Portland date; not gonna schlep to Seattle. For OG Jane’s, I obviously would, but I then again I wouldn’t need to, because there would surely be a Portland date.

Pretty much where I’m at, but on the other hand, there’s so much power live at the moment, I nearly don’t give af. It’s gonna depend on the material.
