Re: Coronavirus
This is a pretty good article that hints at the real underlying problem here. I think that way beyond personal responsibility, which is important, our underlying problem that public officials and the public in general only hint at, if we are lucky, is the whole capitalist system for the massive stra...

Re: Donald Trump running for President.
Well, you can't say the Democrats don't have a plan! Looks like they are considering taking testimony from the Q Shaman guy, and he has already said he is up for the task of implicating Trump for his impeachable crime... :noclue: Now THAT would be compelling testimony.... :lolol: Highest ratings in ...

Re: Donald Trump running for President.
McConnell knew exactly what he was doing with his shrewd/slimeball move of delaying the trial and vote for the next Congress. This will be a mess nobody wants to touch and Democrats will have sole responsibilty over it. Already 197 Republican House members (93%) voted NOT to impeach, out of 211. I ...

Since ANTIFA won (no more Fascist in the White House!) when Biden was elected, it must be MAGA folks dressed as ANTIFA who are rioting in Portland and Seattle.... :noclue:  https://static01.nyt.com/images/2021/01/21/world/21unrest-biden-top/merlin_182649603_a25cd9ba-4104-41cb-914f-d7c75d73a3d4-...

Human waste littering the street, drugged out people lying against buildings and on sidewalks that people step around/over, elaborate encampents on sidewalks concocted with tents, tarps, plastic crates and woodpallets, syringes on the ground in city parks are pretty regular, everyday things in Portl...

Re: Could a coup happen here in the US.......?
I wouldn't call the Capitol insurrection a coup attempt. It was an organized riot with the intent to occupy the Capitol building and cause havoc. Instigated by a delusional group of people who Trump has taken the roll of Agitator in Chief. This dilusional group of MAGA people easily represent the gr...

Re: Donald Trump running for President.
There is only a slim plurality of public support for impeachment and conviction in the Senate right now. I imagine that support will significantly wane when Dems control the Presidency, the House and the Senate. Congress currently has about 15% approval rating according to Gallup, from December, tha...

There's literally no way the Senate votes in time before Trump's term expires. I don't see Senate Republicans holding a trial and 2/3rds voting to convict (8 Republicans if all the Dems show up and Kamala votes as VP) after he is out.

Also.... the Military brass, past and present, want Trump out just as badly as the majority of the politicians. So they would, and have, without a doubt preempted any allegiance talk with "No way would we do that." Trump is just a one man show with close to a dozen politician lackeys and 74,000,000 ...

I would've thought it was illegal for those rioters to enter that building as and when they did, in the way they did, and destroy property, and enter those offices etc. Yet they were allowed to enter? And do all the shit they did before they were shut down? that seems wrong. Of course it was illega...
