Re: more shows

FUCK YES. I've been waiting since I was 9 for the chance to see Jane's in a non arena or amphitheater location, and now I finally can at the Warfield. I give not one shit that it's not the same Jane's, I'm pumped.

I said this in another thread where Dali was being a dickhole but it somehow got overlooked;

Dali, you're a real shitty human being.

Re: Tom Gabel (of Against Me!) Comes Out as Transgender

Never heard of them ( the band nor the singer) Imagine that, a guy from Against Me going on and on about himself. Maybe the band should be called "About Me". :eyes: Who Cares? You're really a cunt. Just had to stop by and say that. A singer of a fairly well known and respected punk band comes out a...

Re: The Smashing Pumpkins

I saw the Pumpkins earlier in 2011 and heard some of the new songs. Overall, they were pretty decent. Quasar and Panopticon were both pretty high energy rockin, kinda like Cherub Rock meets the crazy part of Silverfuck but not as awesome. The one song that actually stood up to the early Pumpkins was...

God damnit. 3 years straight now that Jane's plays a huge venue in the Bay Area. I was hoping we'd get a Warfield or Fox Theater show as a West Coast Leg. Shoot me now

A small update; Today I got an acceptance letter from Sarah Lawrence College, my top choice school. The school is fantastic, it is a half hour out of NYC, has no required classes or majors; you choose the classes you want to take, have one on one meetings with professors and your don, and you genera...

The solo in Splash is cringe worthy. It all sounds like bad GNR.

Re: The Smashing Pumpkins

Been listening to a lot of Siamese Dream lately. What an absolute masterpiece of an album. My favorite song was always Mayonnaise, but for some reason Hummer has been blowing my mind in ways it never did before. I always liked it, but my god. It's just a brilliant, brilliant song. Epic in ways only...

Isn't embarrassing which as about as much as I can ask for at this point. Perry looks so much better with the buzz cut, I hope he keeps it. Also, does anyone notice Perk at :46 in the chorus hit the crash when he is supposed to be hitting the floor tom? Guy must have been quite baked

My sophomore year of high school, we all drove to my a friend's house with my best friend and his older sister who provided all the weed with her friends. A blunt was passed amongst everybody and we took hits from the pipe. I felt kinda giggly and a bit slow, but no real physical high or feeling of ...

Oh boy.. Perry Farrell's Satellite Party, October 1st, 2007, at the Great American Music Hall. I was 13 and convinced i would never see Jane's again and I knew that Perry had been doing Jane's songs on this tour, so I talked my parents into going and we went. The show was actually a blast, I was rig...

I'm sure with a band like Jane's though it would be surprising to find too many people much younger there. I think the average is 33+. With the exception of Hype and maybe a few on here, I don't anyone in real under the age of 30 who likes, or even knows about JA. I'm 17 and I was posting on Xiola ...

I was just listening to Gish last week on my ride to work and I fucking love that CD. I hadn't listened to it straight thru in a while, so it was great to hear it & not be bothered by anyone. I've gotten into the habit of listening to my ipod on random, so I don't tend to listen to a full cd. I nee...

I'm pretty high right now and I thought the only song so far I've liked is Splash a Little Water on It. I didn't think that was a very good song to begin with because of its cheesy gnr rock sound, but you somehow made that pretty listenable. Curiosity Kills was kinda cool to start with but that rand...

I think this is one of the stronger songs on the album. It has real P4P feel for me and I love Dave's simple melodic playing in the verse. The chorus feels a little bit weak, but it makes sense in context of the song, but my only real complaint in this song is how pussified Steve's drumming has beco...

Best song on the album by far. I imagine this would have sounded badass even in 1992-93 if Jane's 1.0 had written this too
