Re: Merry Whatever

I am hiding from my wife’s family’s Christmas, which has been annoying as fuck.

But most importantly, I’m wishing you all a lovely fucking holidays. You’re all a great fucking bunch. Love to you all.

Re: What made your day today?

Thank you! Yeah, I’ll try my hardest to learn as quickly as possible. Most of the time I can get the throathy bits just fine, but at times it’s like I need more phlegm back there. Needless to say, I’ll end up spending a fortune on Paris Saint-Germain tickets, just to watch Lionel Messi on a weekly b...

Re: What made your day today?

 My wife’s job. It’d be a one-year contract, which might get extender for another year or two. I’m already learning a bit of French, she’ll take an intensive course when all things are finalised. Chances are quite high it will work out, but details aren’t finalised yet. It would be a nice adven...

Re: Now Watching...

I watched “Once Upon a Crime” on Netflix, about a murder in Brazil. Quite interesting. We’ve also been watching “Grand Designs”, which is pretty cool (particularly considering that this year we moved into a flat that we had to renew completely… and it’s not finished yet.) And my partner got me into ...

Re: Coronavirus

I got my first Sinovac shot last week. Here, they’ve been rolling the vaccine for a couple of months, I think, and by now they are vaccinating people who are 31. The big problem was that between December 2020 and February 2021 there were basically no restrictions, and we had a peak that was just as ...

Re: State of Jane's Addiction AD 2021?

I saw Dave Grohl talking about Kurt Cobain the other day, so there’s a possibility he might come back to life to do a gig or two.

Re: Coronavirus

The whole of Santiago is going back to weekend quarantines. We’re having as many daily new positive cases as in the worst times of last year, and hospital occupancy is at around 95%. The government blames the people. The people have to go to work (there is no state help) and the public transport is ...

Re: Coronavirus

Chile has (I think) the highest number of vaccinations per capita in the world, which is a good thing.

However, the number of positive COVID cases is the highest we’ve had since June 2020. Which is bad.

Re: Coronavirus

Over here, the government is trying to score some points by purchasing a lot of vaccines (while still killing people in the streets and shooting at protesters.) Seems like Chile has one of the higher vaccination rates so far. My wife got vaccinated yesterday and has to have another shot next month. ...

Re: Coronavirus

Here (and maybe in som US states too) the policy is not about trying to avoid deaths, but about trying to avoid a full-on and obvious collapse of the healthcare system. If a million people die, but the press isn’t covering that all the hospitals are full to the brim, they’d deem it a successful oper...

Re: Are the streets becoming meaner?

Yeah, interesting topic. Over here, what has increased to demented levels is the media coverage of crime. If you tune in to see the news, it’s all muggings (mostly by foreigners), shootings (by foreigners) and femicides (did I mention it was those violent foreigners again?). Around my area, there ha...

At this point in history, I place a bit of the blame on Tony too. Everybody, EVERYBODY should know by now that Perry is a disgusting back-stabbing piece of shit. If you choose to work with him, you will get fucked.

That aside, what a fucking scumbag Perry is.
