Re: Kind Heaven is Official - Vegas August 2019
Hilarious that Perry still thinks he's in charge when Dave gets to make Jane's schedule around his Ink Master duties. And he only has a minority stake in Lollapalooza and no control over who gets booked. And can't go anywhere without his wife. I wonder what kind of jar his balls are kept in. ...

Re: BVB tribute to Jane's...
There is this one song though, can't remember the name of it. I was having a few drinks with a friend at his place with my brothers. He played a tool song that had this part where it was almost instrumental from what I remember, but they were playing along to a loop. The audio was channeling from le...

Never got into tool either. Back in 2002 they were heavily promoted but wasn't into it. I was into RHCP cause By The Way was out that time and the strokes had come out with their debut. I liked those albums more.

Re: NFL
Everyone had him going in the first round. I hear ya. And I still stand by my position. There are way too many talented RBs to take one that high. In every draft. In today's NFL, almost every position on offense takes precedence over a RB. If you're set elsewhere, a 3rd round RB can take care of bu...

Re: BVB tribute to Jane's...
The BVB rips off Pantera even more than Janes, check this out at the 2 minute mark, or even from the beginning. They do cite Pantera as a major influence on wiki. bFHKBCz-ml0 Now listen to hallow at the 2:50 mark. The whole BVB song is built around this. mDA2nauLnk0 I like both bands man. I'm not g...

You're so young. Your references don't make me feel old. They just make me sad at how much your generation is unexposed to any music that came before you. C'mon dude, I'm a Jane's addiction fan. That should tell you that I have had some exposure. Lets face it, a teenager discoverimg Jane's in 2006 ...

Hey, I like the post-hardcore elements in the instrumentals.. Kinda like how deftones did before. High vocals remind me of Brandon Boyd a little bit.

Re: BVB tribute to Jane's...
I honestly don't know what Bvb stands for. I have heard about Ocean Size though. Seen 'em live once and thought they must've taken their name from JA. Didn't think they sounded anything like JA and remember them being quite boring. Was support act for Porcupine Tree if I remember correctly Well, I'...

Re: BVB tribute to Jane's...
Can you think of any other tribute done by other bands? I can think of a whole band - a British band called Oceansize, took their name from the song acknowledging heavy influence. From Wikipedia: The band subsequently named themselves after Jane's Addiction song, "Ocean Size". According to guitaris...

I mean that's the tribute.. Not the entire song. He wasn't gonna rip it all off lolHokahey wrote:The only thing even vaguely resembling Jane's Addiction is the opening guitar that does sound reminiscent of the beginning of ocean size. BVB tribute to Jane's...
Some story I shared on another Jane's site several years back... Thought it would be awesome to share again. I was a fan of BVB as a teen back in 2009-2012. Came across a song that reminded me too much of Ocean Size. Didn't think the members of the band were fans of Jane's so I took it as a coincide...

I used to go to capital records in the galleria waay back in the early 2000's .. I'll never forget that place. As for the other record stores mentioned, well its obvious they will all meet to same fate. Its a sad feeling. Let up a huge sigh when I drove over to second spin only to see it replaced by...

Does anyone from the LA Sherman Oaks area remember the record store by Ventura blvd? I used to go there regularly from around 2013-2015 mainly cause I always ran into someone. Billy Corgan which who I have a picture with somewhere. Dave ghrol NUMEROUS times and even the chili peppers. I dont know wh...

After Sandy Hook, the gun law never changed. And never will. I don't really understand why an 18th century law is still in place, but I don't know enough about it all and maybe I would have a different opinion if I was an American. As far as Spain is concerned, what we saw yesterday was Nazi German...
