Re: ETTL cover
it was good until she omitted the real head/foreskin lyrics. INCOMPLETE!!!! Being a girl she probably couldn't relate to that part of the lyrics. She could have sung "You were the pubic hair, I was the real vagina" instead but I guess that didn't enter her teeny mind... "You were the Labia, but I w...

Re: What's annoying you today?
From what I understand, a person who gets queasy or even passes out while getting a simple blood draw likely has the vaso vagal condition to some degree and will likely experience the same problem in physically stressful situations, especially those that involve standing in place for long periods of...

Re: What's annoying you today?
Today started out about as bad as a day could possibly go wrong. I had an early morning doctor's appointment for my annual physical. My plan was take my son to school which is about 25 miles down south in Lake Forest, drop him off and go to my physical. I woke up this morning, I was feeling a bit "o...

Re: LULU (Metallica + Lou Reed)
I've actually been working with them for the past couple months and I have been pleasantly surprised by how nice everyone has been... They've always been a pretty fan-friendly band and once they had to get through the Napster backlash and all the fan hatred of their awful "St Anger" album,...

Re: Go back in time: KW
In conclusion, the real excitement was the Relapse tour . This collection was just a bauble. I never listened to it much. I probably only listened straight through once or twice. Usually it's something I'd go to just to hear one or two specific tracks. I agree. I had all the rare stuff on bootlegs ...

Re: LULU (Metallica + Lou Reed)
Wow, it sounds like it was literally a DJ cutting and pasting Lou Reed and Metallica together. I didn't imagine this sounding right. I initially had some degree of interest in this just because it was such a weird pairing. Ideally, I wanted to hope it would take Reed and Metallica to different plac...

Re: John Anson Ford Theater
The Ford Theater's a nice place to see a band. It's outdoors and barely holds 1,000 people. The one thing to consider is parking if there's an event going on the same night at the Hollywood Bowl which is nearby but that doesn't seem to be the case for these two shows. Coincidently, the only show I'v...

Re: Album Cover
We saw a tweet or whatever where perry said he was "waiting for the artwork to come back." Come back from where? Did I miss the bit where it's definite that he created this art? Are we just assuming he created this? It likely means coming back from the record label's art dept either as a printer's ...

Re: Fucking with Forum Styles
I like it. The only suggestion/change I'd recommend is changing the color and possibly the font size or style on the header bands from that Blue to something else like maybe just black. As it stands, the text gets lost in the header strip with the current text color.

pretty crazy video of the air races in reno today. they haven't said how many dead yet but witnesses said that there were body parts everywhere. rCNePeKn3Tg The video has been removed probably because it was copied from someone else but it and several others of the crash are on YouTube. There's one...

Re: Album Cover
I'm not too thrilled by the cover, but it's weird and certainly more interesting than the Strays cover. The two (actually three) wildly clashing fonts for the band name and album name is amateurish. Also, it appears Etty is also in the little photo on the desk as well as the wall photo (which has a ...

Re: What's annoying you today?
I hate Comcast. We cancelled our cable and telephone in July. I still have the internet with them because the only other option is Verizon. Yesterday a Comcast guy was parked across the street and accidently disconnected our internet. It was a nightmare trying to get someone to take me seriously. Y...

Re: Smashing Pumpkins Theater Tour Dates
I just watched a 2010 Mexico concert on the Palladium HD channel which pretty much made up my mind to pass on the local date unless someone can convince me things have drastically changed in the last 12 months. I really hated the "new" arrangements on several classic songs, especially Adore and Zero...

easily the dumbest season ever. i can only hope tara is really dead but i know that will never happen. i like the guy (character) of the vampire that was dug up...can't remember his name so having him back next season will be good. Heh, nice spoiler. Hopefully they have the balls to keep Tara dead ...

To add to my original post, one another mailing list, the list owner's wife worked at the WTC (they lived in NJ) and he'd post throughout the morning frustrated because he couldn't get a hold of his wife and had to stay at the house by the phone in case she called... or worse. By noon time, he was p...

9/11 - Ten Years Later
Seeing how this weekend is the 10th Anniversary of 9/11 and I figure a few people might want to post their thoughts, recollections, etc, I started this thread. Being a Southern Cal resident, I was like millions of others outside the directly affected disaster zones a participant via tv that day. I w...

Re: NYTimes: Some of Palin's Ideas Cross the Political Divid
This may have come out of her mouth, but it's not her words. I'd be surprised if she even understood the ramifications of half of what she said. My guess is that she's in desperation mode trying to be relevant in a political landscape that has long since outgrown her and thus she had one of her writ...
