Re: Now Watching...

I gave Ricky Gervais’ ‘After Life’ a go last night and couldn’t go past the first episode. Everything was so lame and on-the-nose, it really was embarrassingly bad. I highly recommend skipping it. I liked it :noclue: It wasn't great but worth watching. The shrink reminded me of mine. I think we're ...

I have two episodes to go. And I'm loving it so far. The shrink is amazing and totally love the dog.

Re: Now Watching...

What does everyone think of Leaving Neverland? I have heard a lot of complaints that it was too long and somewhat boring but I thought the whole thing was interesting. As far as believing the two guys I thought they were both telling the truth but I have always believed he was a pedophile. I have n...

Re: Movies or "the breakdown of jasper"

It does look a bit boring, but I want to watch it. Have you seen Wonder Woman? I really liked that one a lot and I have a huge crush on Gal Gadot

Re: Movies or "the breakdown of jasper"

The girl was incredibly creepy. And the music really put you in a scary mood. But yeah, it was too predictible after the accident. I thought the actors were ok, but the movie made me wanna hurl instead of scream. I saw today "Green Book". I really liked it. Great story and great performances. But "...

Re: Movies or "the breakdown of jasper"

Oh yeah I hear that's a movie you should definitely see in 3-d. I read that movie has to make 400 million world wide just to break even. I mention that because it seems like a lot of people are going to see it but it's still kind of being treated like a flop. Yeah, it's not that great. It's not as ...

Re: Movies or "the breakdown of jasper"

I finally saw "Alita: Battle Angel", produced by James Cameron and directed by Robert Rodríguez. I can't complain, it was good. I'm not much into manga, but well, the cast was the reason I watched it. I kinda regret not watching it on 3D.

Re: Now Watching...

Just watched the first episode of "Umbrella Academy". It's almost 3 am over here and it didn't make me fall asleep (it could be that the decaf cappuccino I had earlier, wasn't decaf at all). Have never read the comic, but I enjoyed it.

Re: U.S. Recognizes Venezuelan Opposition Leader as Interim President

Of course not, but US aren't intervening because they're good samaritans either. Just hope they don't actually do a coup d'état à la 70's. Because so far, they have been doing the same shit they did back then.

Re: U.S. Recognizes Venezuelan Opposition Leader as Interim President

Last year, 10 South American leaders publicly rejected “the exercise of violence, threat, or use of force in Venezuela.” At the time, they were joined by Canada, which also signed the statement. That's the Lima Group: The Foreign Ministers and Representatives of Argentina, Brazil, Canada, Chile, Co...

Re: U.S. Recognizes Venezuelan Opposition Leader as Interim President

Well, the whole situation kinda stinks as an intervention. I know you only talked about South America at first, but as I said, given our history with the US, Trump and Bolsonaro are not leaders that give us confidence. The other day I saw a really good video on fb, dunno if you can subtitle it, but ...

Re: Movies or "the breakdown of jasper"

I also saw good reviews for “Hereditary”, so I gave it a go. Well, for 20 minutes, because my parience ran out. Absolute shit, there’s no good reason to watch it. The acting it shit, there is no story for 20 minutes, and everyone tries too hard. Avoid if you can. 2.5/10 You are not alone. I watched...

Re: U.S. Recognizes Venezuelan Opposition Leader as Interim President

In Venezuela, people are already dying. I don't necessarily think US intervention is the greatest idea, but it doesn't seem obviously bad. The point is that people are dying at least partially *because* of a US intervention. A blockade. Same thing happened in Cuba, same thing happened in Chile when...

Re: U.S. Recognizes Venezuelan Opposition Leader as Interim President

Don't forget Mexico, too. Gustavo Díaz Ordaz was working for the CIA when he was president. We'll see how fucked up things have been since the archives from the 60's to the 2000's have been opened. We are all for new elections, we just don't like it how countries are taking part. That's why our gove...

U.S. Recognizes Venezuelan Opposition Leader as Interim President

Funny it hasn't been posted on here yet, has been big news since yesterday. U.S. recognition of Guaidó as Venezuela’s president could have big consequences The Trump administration announced Wednesday that it would no longer recognize Nicolás Maduro as the legitimate president of Venezuela, instead ...

I also couldn't help but want to see more between Midge and Lenny. There's obviously something there. The last episode was the best! Yeah, I like their relationship. He is kinda her comedy godfather. I dunno if they get to be a couple because so far, I think both guys (ex and new) have sucked imo.
