How hip is he going to be at 40 and 50?

Re: The official "The Great Escape Artist" thread
Underground and IF are proper Jane's songs IMO, more so than anything on Strays. They sound like Jane's, and they're easily two of my favorite songs. The rest of the album is going to require multiple listens. It's like discovering a new band. I'm not sure what to make of their sound but I'm intrig...

Ay yay yay. I wish I had the time to spell it out. Posting from my phone doesnt help. I suggest studying the sub prime loan disaster and reading End the Fed. that's part of it. The other part of the protest is that the banks were then bailed out, with tax money. Made record profits since then. Are sitting on said profits without "giving back" (except giving themselves large bonuses), not stimulating the economy by creating more jobs or quite the opposit...

Yeah. Three Days -> Classic Girl = approx. 31 minutes.Tyler Durden wrote:So the album is 38 minutes and 54 seconds.
Isn't that about length of Ritual's side 2?
But Nothing's Shocking's only 45 minutes, and that's with two 6+ minute long tracks.

Re: The OCCUPY Movement
The market understood those people couldn't afford a mortgage and would default on them, but the incentive to offer those loans by the government was just too good to pass up. People bitch about what the banks did with those shitty loans once they were saddled with them, but they wouldn't have been...

1. Curiosity Kills Has a real weird combo of old-JA w/ Brian Eno/Coldplay type stuff going on ... makes it actually interesting to listen to... not just that soaring U2-wannabe song that comes right after it. 2. I'll Hit You Back Intro sounds a bit like that Joy Division rip-off stuff of the last 10...

I'm not sure how you pulled off that rhetorical move there, Hoka. I will say that I tend not to think very highly of 'activist' movements in general, but that's mostly because I don't like "joining a cause", and the whole herd mentality it promotes. Not to mention 'activism' tends to invite the craz...

Well, this: Every opinion is as valid as the next. ... is false. But I think maybe Hoka meant to say "Any opinion should be able to be expressed openly without fear of personal attack" or something. But if someone's opinion is really stupid, and people say it's stupid for good reasons, then it's not...
