Re: Game of Thrones (HBO)

No goodbye to Ghost? Just a look and that's it? No words, no goodbye pat on the head, no good dog? Lame! Yeah, and I didn't understand why he gave the dog to Tormund instead of to Sansa and Arya. I thought Ghost was better with the Free Folk  Besides Ghost, I always kept wondering ...

Re: Game of Thrones (HBO)

Ok, after watching the episode for a second time I'm coming around on how I'm feeling about it. It mostly has to do with the way Cersei and Jamie went out. After all the ways I wanted them to go (mostly Cersei) the way they went seemed like such a letdown. It is what it is though. The episode is on...

Re: Game of Thrones (HBO)

I am loving this season though. Everyone thinks everything is happening so fast, but... it's the last season. We already got 7 seasons of people walking around and talking about what they were going to do. Now they are doing it. That's it. All the planning is finally coming to fruition. If this was...

Re: Game of Thrones (HBO)

I never thought I'd say this, but there were things about the recent episode that I absolutely hated and I never thought I'd hate anything about the show ever, but these three things bugged the hell out me. I might even have more once I watch the episode again, but these are what stand out the most...

Re: Game of Thrones (HBO)

I never thought I would say this, but I don't like Dany. I know she has to be strong and ambitious, but she's not old Dany. Any way, I think Cersei is going to bite the dust soon, or Jon, or Jamie, or Tyrion, or the Mountain, or the Hound... It's easier to be ambitious about war before you see what...

I started watching "Dead to me" last night. It's funny and fast to watch like "Russian Doll" (one of my favorite Netflix shows this year)

Re: Movies or "the breakdown of jasper"

Went to see Endgame last night. Thoroughly entertaining and bladder-challenging. It felt like a fantastic ending for the saga. 6/10 i don't get your rating system. from what you said it should be at least an 8/10. 60% is considered failing (d grade) in school here. i don't like superhere movies but...

Epic battle, longest episode of the season. This sums it up for me: https://scontent.fntr6-1.fna.fbcdn.net/v/t1.0-9/57678128_10157101589699508_8704793223064715264_n.jpg?_nc_cat=106&_nc_ht=scontent.fntr6-1.fna&oh=6319b33cc4cc4683f14d2fd89f754426&oe=5D3B7193 Crossing my fingers some of my favorite wil...

Also watched the first episode of "The Case Against Adnan Syed". I was completely ignorant about this. I had heard about the Serial podcast but have never listened to it. I'm hooked. I liked it ok when I was 13 :noclue: I was laughing at the video clip just seemed so cliche No explaining tastes, stoked you're having fun with it :thumb:  I know, and my reaction was sarcastic. But I do like it. I must have been 9-10 when it came out. My karate teacher didn't aprove of it at ...

What?! You didn't like Karate Kid? It was huge when I was little and I was proud that I practised that type of karate. It's cheesy but enjoyable.

Re: The Dead Musicians thread

I know only me knows about this musician, but it has been brutal for us. He was one of the founders of one of the most beloved Mexican bands "La Botellita de Jerez". He killed himself because someone denounced him in a #metoo post. Basically, the post talked about an alleged sexual harassment toward...

Re: Movies or "the breakdown of jasper"

I liked how they made it like a mockumentary. I have never been disappointed in any Christian Bale movie, even Little Women. So I saw two movies yesterday. It had been a while since I saw them at a movie theater, one after another. I chose to watch "Mary Queen of Scots" with Saoirse Ronan and Margot...

Been checking out Pete's Live Stream Music Residency for several weeks and finding it enjoyable listening to him play, sing, talk about this, that, music and life. My schedule doesn't allow for watching live, but I play later at night as I am winding down. Anyone else been watching his new(ish) cha...

beetlejuice back on the menu? Not in my neck of the woods.
Yep, same way "Back to the Future" and "Trainspotting" were re-released for their anniversaries. And I agree, Michael Keaton was pretty dope. Alec Baldwin was pretty pretty young, as well as Winona.

Re: Movies or "the breakdown of jasper"

Is it just here or have other movie theaters re-released "Beetlejuice" to celebrate its 30th year anniversary? I saw it for the first time in a movie theater on Saturday. I remember seeing the trailer 30 years ago and I thought it was scary, hahaha. Plus, I was too young to watch. I watched it years...

I binge watched Idris Elba's Netflix show. I thought it was a funny and smart show. Big fan of Auntie Lydia  IOsU1RoI6CM I finally watched "The Dirt". I started watching this last night and finished this morning. It's about the Colosio case (presidential candidate murdered in 94). I was in my HS senior year when it happened and this year they finally opened the files to the public. Totally recommend it. NbMOvYMvW9E I'm definitely watching "The Dir...
