Re: Three Days (Jam Track) for Guitarists

maaaaaan.... I fucking LOVED that... There's no way that I would ever be able to work out how to play guitar along to it but it certainly is a really good listen....

thanks and if you feel like doing any more of these, know that I'll download and enjoy them!

Re: Anyone change their initial opinion of TGEA?

Umm, Perry back in the day was the greatest frontman of all time. Uhhh, not even close even when Perry was at his peak. Just using frontmen who I saw live between 1987 - 1991 when I saw Janes, I can think of Iggy Pop, Bruce Springsteen, Bono, Lux Interior, Stiv Bator, Trent Reznor just to name a fe...

Instrumental version of TGEA please.

that's what I would like. that way I could imagine a better bunch of lyrics, vocal melody, and singing voice on it. or sing my own vox to it.. or just chill to the tunes....

Re: Anyone change their initial opinion of TGEA?

Nope. My opinion of this record hasn't changed from the first time I listened to it: at first i was "what the fuck? where is the arty-crazy-sexy-rocky-metaly-mental music?" and it's still the same now. I've listened to it once a day since the weekend and I feel nothing close to excitement when i hea...

Re: Anyone change their initial opinion of TGEA?

I listened to it on Saturday night and at the end I was left feeling empty and disappointed. I was not compelled to listen again. I put it on today at work and again it sounded flat, a bit of a try-hard effort but there were some bits that sounded OK.

Inside pic a shot of "the band" with Dave and Perry looking up at the mother ship, Chaney looks like he's living the good life and Stephen looks like his sunnies are painted on. gold.. The "mothership?" WTF?!? Y'know, cos the band members and their behaviours are all so crazy that the only possible...

Re: The official "The Great Escape Artist" thread

I just bought the double CD. For anyone in Australia, JB HiFi has it for $24.99, single is $19.99... the section of the insert where the credits are is a little hard to read. There's no mention of Duff in the main credits bit though he's mentioned on Ultimate Reason, Broken People and Words Right Ou...

Re: The official "The Great Escape Artist" thread

i seriously have no problems with the other 7 songs on the album. Those are the 3 i skip. They should have kicked Duff out sooner. But Duff was such a seamless fit. But they and duff grew up together. But it's a natural thing for them to play together But it's so exciting to come into a band and le...

how cool would it be if Jane's threw a curve ball the way Tool did with Lateralus and released absolutely bogus album details complete with a bogus tracklist. Release day rolled around and we were confronted with an hour of new music, including several songs that ranged from 8 - 10 minutes and had ...
