Re: Coronavirus

Well, it took 2 1/2 years but I’m in the club now. https://i.postimg.cc/FRnDkfL4/TB-Covid-Test-Result.jpg I’m about two days into it. Started out Sunday with sinus allergy-like symptoms, lotta post nasal drip, scratchy throat. Monday morning, I knew I was getting sick, low grade fever, achy joints, ...

Re: Hard Charger

I honestly wonder if they maybe had to sign rights over for that song or something of the like? Could just be the live versions with flea were so special they didn't want to taint it? Naw these guys will taint it all... Possibly. I do know that Stern and Co dearly wanted Van Halen to record a new s...

Re: Now Watching...

"The Boys" is currently by far my favorite show on Amazon Prime. The last 3-4 episodes especially have been a high point. I hated how badly botched Garth Ennis' Preacher comics turned out as a series but this take on his other comic series actually exceeds the comics.

Re: Killing Joke

Perhaps the weirdest pairing of musicians, actor and cover choice - Johnny Depp, Jeff Beck, Prince's former bassist and band covering Killing Joke's Death And Resurrection Show:

Interesting version but lacks the energy and fire of the original.

Re: Van Halen

Saw you dropped in Panda, and it reminded me. I read recently that DLR was having a hard time closing the deal on the lyrics to "I'll Wait". So, Ted Templeton reached out to Michael McDonald (TT also worked with the Doobies as I'm sure you're aware) and set up a meet between the two. MMD ended up c...

Re: JA/Smashing Pumpkins Tour

(snip) I wouldn't go to this because I hate the Bowl for concerts these days...and the prices. But, I had an absolute blast at the NS 25th anniversary thing on Sunset Blvd some years back. They were well into their cash in/lost voice/cosmetic surgery/B list TV show host era, but I can't completely ...

Re: JA/Smashing Pumpkins Tour

I saw Jane's at the Bowl. Good show. It was the one where Hole (they were great) opened and she went on a shitshow tirade against Perry. They cut power in response. Peter came out and played with Jane's. Nice night. I caught that show as well. That "performance" by Courtney Love completely solidifi...

Re: JA/Smashing Pumpkins Tour

I checked tickets for the Anaheim Pond aka Honda Center and the first dozen rows on the floor and on the sides are all "VIP" package seats running near $700 to $350+ per ticket. Anything further back on the floor runs about $99 - $150+. Interest looks pretty low, I'd guess this show might sell about...

Another song off the new EP:

Better then "Lord Of Chaos" but still a bit generic for my tastes.

In California, I would guess gas will hit $6 a gallon by Summer.
I suppose I should revise that statement to $7 by Summer seeing as we're above $6 at most locations already.

(snip) What does he want with Chernobyl? It’s strategic more than anything. The area is virtually a ghost town since the meltdown in ‘88 and the reactor itself is encased in concrete and unusable. Chernobyl is close to the Northern border and sits on the Pripyat River which runs straight to K...

Re: Killing Joke

New Killing Joke tune, "Lord Of Chaos" from the upcoming EP. SSVjEc5rIMc This song leaves me cold. Production is muddy, Jaz’s vocals are buried in the mix, the band sounds anonymous and flat. It’s like a watered down version of “I Am The Virus." My guess it's an out-take from the last album "Pylon."...

Re: Coronavirus

Just before Thanksgiving, my wife, son and I all got our 3rd Moderna booster. Just mildly sore arms for a day for my wife and I, our son again was a little tired and slept a lot the following day but no big deal. I would guess getting a booster shot every 4-6 months is going to be a "thing" the next...

Apparently days after Jaz took his header off the fishing boat last Summer in Mexico, he suffered a severe diabetic crash which was misdiagnosed as type II when it was later diagnosed as type I after he was transported to the UK. Type 1 is really difficult to deal with on a daily basis, much moreso ...

Roth has announced he is retiring after the string of shows he's doing in Las Vegas around the NY holiday.

He also just released another song from the as-yet unreleased album he did with John 5 a few years ago.

Re: Now with back up singers…

Watched the videos from this show. It's kinda funny how Etty, the other girl and the guy are buried way back nearly offstage as if the band know it's a dumb, unnecessary thing to have those 3 (inaudibly) singing back-up and gesticulating like out of sync drunken cheerleaders. During "Jane Says" it's...

For something that causes marginal illness I would say the risks outweigh the benefits for healthy children. Whatever you think is best. I know healthy kids that wound up in the ER with covid. None because of the vaccine. Easy decision. The thing is, for little kids especially, the vaccine is desig...

One thing Biden owns is how this is going down. Watching video of hundreds of Afghans chasing and clinging to C-17 Globemasters taxing down runways with some falling off the plane thousands of feet in the air is just sickening. We (The USA) promised the thousands of Afghans that helped our guys in t...
