Re: NCAAF

Maybe Kelly will come back. Welp, if he were serious about the NFL I'd say he's not helping his chances for the future, and that he made the right move. Like Creep said, the NFL eats you alive and spits you out, and it's pretty damn hard to build a legacy as a coach. You're as likely to ha...

He's not an idiot and wouldn't coach somewhere he doesn't feel supported or seems tenuous.

Re: What made your day today?

Mine was $3,300+ for a Tempur-Pedic with the deluxe cloud, ergo-base, frame, delivery etc. Figured you spend a third of your life there, why not? :noclue: In addition we were on a 18 year old flattened futon with a homemade wood frame and I was so fed up with an uncomfortable nights sleep, might as ...

Re: What made your day today?

I went Tempur-Pedic five years ago and have never looked back. It's like you aren't even in a bed, just floating on a cloud. I would do a commercial for them for free. I am that much in love with it. However it is the most expensive thing I have ever bought outside my education and my motorcycle. :b...

Re: NCAAF

Yeah, would be surprised if Kelly comes back, but I'm not too worried about Oregon's future. I have always held my breath in the past; with Bellotti leaving and Daron Thomas leaving last year and we always come out better. The replacement is a carbon copy of Kelly. As for Kelly in the NFL, he is goi...

vlTfR74Xk2M Here's a good clip/doc done by a local that I just found. Murders would go unreported, random snipers on the rooftops taking out civilians, putting your baby down to bed in the iron bathtubs because gun shots were rampant and being by a window was unsafe. dicey neighborhood history + ba...

Re: NFL

Actually, now that I've looked at it a little closer, I am very optimistic. SF will do well. And Minn will not meet them until the Championship game (I thought it was the next round :dunce: ), if all goes well. Then whoever wins has to win the Super Bowl. :thumb:

Re: Kennedy Center Honors 2012 - Led Zeppelin

Heres the stadium on the right of the United Center. That place was the bomb because it was all concrete so it got super loud in there. I think thats Cabrini Green in the back ground. http://www.hhweb.com/stadiumphotos/unitedcenter2.jpg Nope. Cabrini Green is/was on the North Side, near the river. ...

Canseco's short-lived campaign for the job of Toronto's chief magistrate began on Wednesday, when he posted 11 New Year’s resolutions, two of which were numbered “5”: “5. Fight Shaq in MMA cage match” and “5. develop and launch Ponce de CAnseco a real anti aging drink.” Resolution Number 6 was, “Ge...

The trick would be to make sure the executive and judicial branches do good work. The hope though, would be that this can be virtually ensured by sheer volume of people involved, some of whom are smarter and more benevolent, diligent, etc., than the others, and who happen to have reached positions ...

Yeah, I agree with all that. As I referenced before, we have it damn good here and most of our "problems" are not going to be solved by decentralizing government or a different system. Political and governing structures seem to be mostly academic anyways. We are way too complex as individuals and as...
