Re: Private property and shame
Nice...
But, any thoughts on what you consider makes the money/property factor be a little awkward? I mean, if you don't consider money to be particularly important, why would you avoid the subject?
That's one question I make myself and I'm not always able to answer it successfully.

Chile's civil/military unrest ended between 1990 and 1994... I think it's time politicians leave that excuse behind (you know, "our democracy is just starting") and just start setting things straight. 1- Thou shall not discriminate against your own ethnic groups. Private property and shame
Just wondering... You know that strange feeling when someone asks you how much money you make? Or when you ask someone what car they have, if they have cable/satellite TV, etc? I guess I just wanted to know if you people feel uncomfortable with those questions... I don't feel any shame of making as ...

Re: Public/Private Space and Individual Rights
Only some specific sectors, that I know of. It hasn't brought up any public issues yet. Not too long ago, a TV show did a cool "experiment", which I relate to this. The Chilean government house ("La Moneda") is usually visited by tourists and Chileans. Of course, before going in you're frisked and y...

Re: Public/Private Space and Individual Rights
Good issue... I have to say, if I lived in a house I wouldn't like to see random people just standing there and taking pictures; however, if they are being taken from public space, I shouldn't have the legal right to formally complain about it (within a framework of common sense, of course. If I thi...

Re: Embedding YouTube videos
This is how: 1.- Copy the URL of the video. For example, http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MXgnIP4rMoI&feature=related. 2.- Paste it in the post box. 3.- Remove everything but the video code ( http://www.youtube.com/watch?v= MXgnIP4rMoI &feature=related ) 4.- Put it between the youtube BBCode ( [youtub...

Stay safe, dude... Even though a part of me doesn't "approve" of this violence, I think it's good that it happens as a response to an unjustified murder by the police. The citizens must assert their power and say "we're not gonna take that shit. don't get used to killing us, or we'll fucking make a ...

Yesterday I saw Al Pacino's "Dog Day Afternoon". It was OK for a Saturday evening.. Dog Day Afternoon is a masterpiece of acting and film-making. I wasn't too thrilled about the acting, aside from Pacino's. Also, I thought some moments were poorly developed (like when Al throws money in the air and...

Annoying me today, my girlfriend. You'd expect a grown woman has gone past the routine of saying "if you want to call me, call me... if not, it's ok" and then complaining because you don't call her (and, of course, she doesn't call you either). Goddamn it. I wish I liked alcohol so I could get fucki...
