Re: The Cure

Was actually the easiest time buying good tix I've had in years. You know if it would of been the standard Ticketmaster onsale the Lower level seats would of been nonexistent save for the $500 "Official Platinum" BS. Thank you Robert Smith  It seemed to work well for some and a nightmare fo...

Got tickets this morning to The Cure in Tampa on June 29th
Fantastic. I'm frozen out of Tampa (amongst other places).

The Cure, Godspeed You! Black Emperor, Fever Ray, Placebo, Sisters of Mercy (wince), Depeche Mode, Suede, Mr Bungle, Tori Amos...

Interesting. I've not been to the venue in Tampa yet, so that's interesting to know. Hoping to change that in June!

Re: The Cure

the 6 new songs from the first night at wembly 2022 sound pretty great actually .. this might be a bloodflowers level return to form if they release an album .. hoping to catch them in Montreal again .. woo hoo!!! They were sublime in 2022. Everything about them - the performances, the set lists, t...

Re: The Cure

It's been 20+ years since I've seen them. I will probably go if tickets aren't too crazy. It seems that they have a cushion to add more Bay Area dates. It looks like they have already addressed the ticket pricing - the prices for both tickets and merchandise in Europe last year was absurdly reasona...

That Tampa date is very tempting!
You won't regret it - the shows I saw last year were some of the best I have ever seen of them. I wonder whether they'll add Orlando the between this and Miami, once their sell well.

He completely fucks up the clean arpeggios in the intro. It’s embarrassing. Some of us don't know what an arpeggio is (I do, kind of). Some of us don't give a fuck what an arpeggios is (I don't). We listen, we don't dissect - we feel and it feels fucking good. So well done for having a boner for sh...

me too. I sold my tickets. I didn't want to make that drive.
Good move - didn't even occur to me that there would be takers.
I assume the drive isn't even feasible; I'd do it if the roads were open.
Next tour....

Re: JA March 2023 Tour Thread

Palladium was fucking stunning. I didn't comment on the Bakersfield gig as I was a little underwhelmed - they just didn't have the same umph they had in November. But.Tonight. Fuck. Fantastic. Perry was on a whole other level compared to Bakersfield. He was fluid and sounded so much better. A portio...

Re: JA March 2023 Tour Thread

Bakersfield looks like it's about half-sold, with a stack of secondary tickets listed for around $10. Somewhat sad, not in the least bit surprising. The capacity in that room seems to be 3,000.

Pixies opened for them on the Ritual tour.
I had Suicidal Tendencies for the Ritual shows I saw. Had long forgotten about that.

Re: Josh Stepping In For Upcoming Shows

Yeah, did see Kettle on YouTube with Troy and was surprised they played it. Perry sounded good and did Troy. Didn't see any of the other songs. Trip Away and a faster electric version of Slow Divers would be cool to. Better even, record a live set with the entire Kettle Whistle CD track list and pu...
