Just thinking about Whores, which was the laziest piecce of shit I have ever labored though. I remember finishing and it felt like I hadn't finished anything.
A real, substantive Jane's bio is sorely needed.....

Re: Martial Arts
Let me be clearer.....I am looking for a medium (genre) of the arts that requires a long and hard conditioning/training period before any parts of main dicipline are introduced. I am a western thinker, but my goal is to tax my body to failure....repeatedly and then rise from that depletion. I am no...

Re: R&R Biographies
Back to duff, I was floored, then impressed when he identified by name and mourned the deaths of the fans at the gnr show. So many just refer to the deceased as 'fans'.
Thanks for the recs everyone. I think I'm on to the smith or punk doc now.

Re: National Anthems
In theory, our national anthem does celebrate the individual because our government is the people. We fought a glorious revolution to get away from the reigning government paradigm.
In theory.....

don't let me get started SR...j/k  Some anthems are just instrumental (like the Chinese), but in the case of the Mexican, you are meant to sing it, now matter how poorly you do, as long as you do it with feeling. Pile on! I didn't read the thread en masse, so if I appeared to be confrontation...

Re: National Anthems
They're athletes, not singers. The song is being played because their success. They didn't succeed because of the song or the country it represents......actually better that they don't sing it. In this case the song represents the pride the country has in a particular citizen.

Re: lollapalooza webcast
I'm not sure how astute this observation is but it is based in my recent experience watching DN on both large and ver small stages, and with other guitarists. His racing to the other side of the stage here to jam with Pete was an anomolous act on his part and I'd have to think it was appreciated.

and he brought Pete in to do a PFP tune.....well. Don Julio was part of a new generation of tequilas to be just that....smoother, less feisty, than their ancestors would normally have allowed for. They were the designer made spirits that flooded the market when tequila became the "in" drink ba...

Umm, how refreshing is it to see a sincerely delivered (and insane) tune delivered with dignity, passion, and a bit of humility. Music, about music....Never saw PFP, but I bet the live versions are unchained....

I got as far as "the Queen pronounces the games open" and stopped reading. Anything 'royal' makes me gag, and then become sad.

Harmony Korine's most popular film. I found it quite 'disturbing'. If memory serves Werner Herzog makes a cameo. He loves Korine.

Re: Health
Yeah beers are harder on the body at least good beers, the typical watered down light beer swill isn't as hard on the body but if you like craft beers and stuff those will probably provide a worse feeling the day after. I personally do not drink beer that much but when I do its usually Sierra Nevad...

On a side topic, partying is part of the Jane's lore and it's fans I'd assume. I've been on a jag of all jags lately Phenominal and heroic. I am sure it is due to my natural inclinations but also the devastating and prolific loss this last year. And yes, throw in the generic and ubiquitous mid life ...
