Re: PF / Psi-Com Announcement Tease 17 July 2020

Wonder if there's any chance the Three Days poem sneaks into that "Photographic Memoirs hardback book". :noclue: :balls:

Deluxe Edition reissue, maybe? Oh man, that'd be sweet if they dug up some unreleased demos or live soundboard stuff to include.

Re: Whose on First?

July 24th will mark 23 years for Some DIvers Whistle. Not that I do anything with it anymore, but hey technically it's still online. I really should fix some of those broken links someday. I don't even have a html/web-design program anymore.

Seems to be shot by the same guy who did the 1991 Melkweg video that has been around forever.

Don't you mean the 1991 Paradiso show that has been around forever?
Right, March 17, 1991 Paradiso, sorry.

Just about shat myself when I learned Hum had surprise-released their first album since 1998. It's called Inlet, and thankfully it's really good, not one of those comeback albums that shits on the band's legacy. Trudging alt nerd rock guitar onslaught at its best.

Re: Post your Jane's / Jane's related buy

Not exactly relevant to this post, but for the few of us who still get excited about old Jane's shit, here's a recently-unearthed live video from 1990 worth checking out. 1990.10.19 - Melkweg, Amsterdam, Netherlands Seems to be shot by the same guy who did the 1991 Melkweg video that has been around...

Re: Perry Farrell on 80s Hard Rock Hit

Yeah, there's an old interview clip with Dave or Perry saying the two bonded over both losing their mothers when they were young. Sometimes before playing "Then She Did" they'd say, "Let's go do this for our moms."

Re: Jane’s Activity On Instagram

I'd venture best case scenario, they're prepping "super-deluxe expanded edition" reissues of NS and/or Ritual.. and sifting through live/rare recordings for unheard bonus tracks has got them feeling sentimental (such as Perry talking about the 7/24/91 show [which we know was professionally multi-tra...

Re: What's annoying you today?

We had to put our Annie down back in early November. Put off getting a new dog due to an already-planned Hawaiian vacation in late February. Then after that, as we were about to start looking for a new pup, the virus shit hit. Terrible timing for my wife and I. Hopefully we'll score a new one soon, ...

Ha, yeah, I noticed that. Definitely 7/24/91. That's a great recording. One of my favorite boots. They should officially release that complete show (ideally a box set also including the other 2 shows from that Lollapalooza '91 run at Irvine Meadows) rather than always with the Hollywood Palladium 12...

Re: Some new cool photos on Casey’s Facebook

Interesting Casey comment on FB.. I started playing guitar when I was 8 years old. When I met Perry I though he was such a bright star and his energy was infectious. I didn’t know how to support my own art but I easily fell into the role of supporting his. I taught him how to play basic chords and h...

Re: Use Your Illusion ('compact')

Yeah, "Locomotive" has risen to the top of my favorite songs over the years, and have heard similar from others. Gotta wonder if it would have been a hit if they made one of those big-budget videos for it. And yeah, we've definitely had a similar thread on here years ago. I remember it was interesti...

Let's see.. 1990, for me. Just before I started listening to the local alternative station ("91X: the cutting edge of rock"). Roxette - The Look Paula Abdul - Knocked Out (or really that entire Forever Your Girl album) Boy Meets Girl - Waiting For a Star to Fall Fine Young Cannibals - Good Thing Def...

I've been playing Earthbound (SNES) lately. But working from (mostly) home has kept me busier than I expected, so I haven't really had a chance to get bored yet. Still plenty of little projects I want to find time for. I haven't tried the links, but found this list of "QUARANTINE GAMES" on my FB fee...

"One night I met a boy" should be "one night I met a poet" and the rest of lyrics come from this website http://defgav.com/sdw/songs/threedays.html Ha, I haven't read that page in a long time. :thumb: Glad that stuff's still online because my memory isn't great.
