Re: Coronavirus

So we have the highest numbers ever, still no vaccine rollout, and they're planning to have the Olympics soon. I just don't get it. Seems a focus on early vaccines would be an investment on the money wrapped up in the Olympics.

Re: Porno for Pyros Reunion July 30th

When I talked to Pete, he said the sessions didn't get finished. At least I think that's what he said back when I interviewed him. I'll try to go back and listen.

Re: Coronavirus

Like 99% of people wear masks here, but not much has changed. A few early closures thus winter for restaurants. But I still see people out partying at night. The subway on my way home is always crammed and packed. It's odd. And yeah, I guess it's the general health of the average population. Not as ...

Re: Coronavirus

Japan really has no sense of danger. I bet I'll get a vaccine next year at this rate. Even our health care workers aren't even up to 50% vaccinated.

What do you do for work in Japan? :tiphat: I think at one point, maybe a long time ago, you taught English. Still...but more test prep now. Soon mostly on my own . Cool! Good luck with that. :thumb: I've been working professionally on my own the last 6 mos. or so and it's been great so far. COVID a...

Re: Coronavirus

Good news Art. I'm really shock life hasn't changed much at all here, and really not many consequences. Crazy Japanese have no sense of threat or danger most times. But almost everyone is wearing a mask. Almost done working for my shit boss and company. Relieved I won't have to deal with another qua...

Re: Coronavirus

Sorry KV. There was a small outbreak at my son's kindergarten. I had to get in an argument with my boss to take a day off so we could get tested. It didn't even cross my eldery dimwit boss that I was putting him at risk by being at work. The kid was a champ and didn't cry during the test. We're nega...

Re: Are the streets becoming meaner?

Coming up on five years since I visited Portland. I was shocked at how bad it was. From the Mission on burnside all the way to the park blocks, you couldn't walk on the sidewalk. Tents and people sleeping on the sidewalks. Shitty place weather-wise to be homeless. I can't even say where the bad part...

Re: Coronavirus

The numbers are weird. The thing I don't understand is we had a whole spring and summer to prepare for the inevitable spike we all knew was coming this winter. Just like every winter before with flu and colds throughout human history. At the very least, governments could have thrown some money at it...

Re: Donald Trump running for President.

Well, one thing is for sure, guaranteed. No matter who wins the election, 20% or more of people are going to have serious mental health problems..... :noclue: "Are" going to have....? I think at the very least that number has long ago been exceeded. You're going to get a good taste of just how far ...
