I'm pretty sure that's just what they changed the name of the band to with Dave out.

Re: Official Dallas/first night of Spirits On Fire tour thread
More like Superhero because the kids/grandkids of the original fans might have seen that show, Entourage, and it'll be the only song they know.

Re: Rolling Stone Interview- Must Read
I do not have a good separation with Chris Chaney, that’s for sure. He was very close with Taylor. He was kind of our connection. And now that Taylor is no longer there… Time is ticking. It’s time to take care of fuckin’ unfinished business.” Dave’s not here Oh man, please do a Cheech and Cho...

Re: It’s Official - Dave is sitting out the tour
Hype you have been around way too long to take that attitude and I don’t know about this “park guy “ or whatever?.. I too have been around a very long time and those early versions of Jane’s Addiction songs were never what they became!! You know better!! ..A riff is a start not its fruition? ..I me...

Re: It’s Official - Dave is sitting out the tour
As a guitarist myself, Dave Navarro is just fucking amazing!! You don’t just drop another guitarist in there? Everything he does is really textural .. He plays for the song not for kicks. In fact, I think that’s why he lost some of his fast chops? ..You don’t just drop another guy into Jane’s ..He ...

Billy's solo effort Ogilala is the best thing any of them have done in at least 20 years.

The real answer is: it's the Smashing Pumpkins' tour, and JA are just tagging along for the ride to maybe help fill out seats (= "Very Special Guests").

They're The Simpsons of bands. Started in the 80s. Got really really good and really really big really quickly. Then died out but refused to stay dead and came back as a zombie that just keeps putting out zombie crap.

Oh, yeah, totally agreed! Finding a way to archive it (on GitHub) with a way to still view it, and maybe even use it, without having to pay for a server would be really cool.

Not that it matters anymore, but this is just a super-outdated way to have this kind of community, and probably we could transition to something much easier and free, like a Discord channel. In fact, I just created one. Here's the invite link: https://discord.gg/P4U4ngsN You should be able to just ...

Y'all lived long enough to become the man you hate (just like Perry). Congratulations!
A band known for gender-fluidity, hints of homoeroticism, and the vanguard of youth culture has fans who are now considered out of touch conservative loons.
No, but it must be the children who are wrong.

Good Point. In the 80's there was Tipper Gore and maybe a handful of evangelicals. And no one paid any attention to them. Now's there's a mob that can destroy people's lives overnight. What are you old people talking about?! The Moral Majority was a huge force for evil in the 80s, from Reagan onwar...

Re: When did Perry's voice die?
I honestly prefer the balance between his rawness and his more "Strays-era" voice. So I think I love the 97-2003 period. The bootlegs from 90-91 are amazing in terms of wildneress and having that "punk spirit", but the screams were sometimes not in the right place, and his voice got strained easily...
