Re: Sonny just re-uploaded the Eric Avery interview
time will be my only proving factor on what i'm trying to explain. reflection will be the only some will see what xiola.org really was. in explanation, it may seem i'm knocking somethings, but i'm just stating facts really. xiola.org was unique and i'm not sure it can be recreated, that's all i'm s...

Re: Sonny just re-uploaded the Eric Avery interview
I echo Hoka, Decon etc. Many years ago i found xiola... it was the 1st site i stumbled across. 1% had a larger community though and i ended up spending most time there. Then that went tits up and i went back to xiola... the following years were excellent and mostly because of the excellent community...

Re: Interesting post by Eric
I found it fascinating that Rick Rubin was ready to sign them without Perry before NS even came out, and that they were ready to do it. Sort of a precursor to what led to Deconstuction on American. Yep, that's the part i thought was really interesting too... especially given that Perry was cool as ...

Re: Interesting post by Eric
All that aside, Perry looks pretty good in that photo at the top of the article. Perk looks fucking hilarious... The pic is from the Strays era (for anyone wondering). Cheers mate... i hadn't realised that. Fuck, Perry's looked pretty old for some time now hasn't he?! Now i look at it again and clo...

Re: Interesting post by Eric
i find this article very strange. It contains alot of info we have previously read about, but in the context that the writer was actually there to see it firsthand. (seriously, the person was right next to Keidis/Forrest when the "why do we bother?" quote was uttered? i call bullshit) Sounds to me ...

Re: Jane's Addiction 1988 - Present Day
I absolutely love that show :sui: Yeah i know mate... loads of people think it fucking sucks and i'm surprised that I like it because nothing ever really happens to be honest. But there's always been a shed load of fit birds in it, a couple of the characters are great and there have been a few supe...

Re: Jane's Addiction 1988 - Present Day
I'd actually forgotten how GASH Superhero was. Jesus. :jasper: Make no mistake, i never willingly play that song but I kinda don't mind it... purely because of the Entourage link. I absolutely love that show and to me it's simply the opening music. Great outro song on the latest episode by the way,...

Hate to admit it...am wishing I was home for this. Enjoy, kidz... Seriously? How come... simply because it's Janes in a club... and a pretty cool Camden club at that? I totally understand but you reached the "i'm done" stage far quicker than i figured i would, and i completely get why too. I've bee...

Re: Movies
Nothing will ever top Point Break for the best modern heist movie, IMO of course. I think Heat is a far better modern heist movie than Point Break, BUT Point Break is an amazing movie, definitely one of my favorites that I can watch again and again. I pretty much know all the lines in it  Can ...

Re: What are you reading?
I'm reading "And The Hippos Were Boiled In Their Tanks" by Kerouac/Burroughs. Each writer swapped chapters and also tells the story from a different character's perspective. It's sort of a beat mystery/noir story. I like both writers so I'm finding it to be pretty good and it's a quick read. I am a...

Re: Cowbell and Harmonica
Can't see the show as work comp is blocking it... sounds good though.
Love this thread as I love a good cowbell. It'd be great to see PF dancing like a freak at the mic, banging on a cowbell with a drum-stick complementing some epic drum segment.

Re: Anarchy in The UK - London Riots
The government (police / army... whoever) need to smack down on this hard and fast. Numerous vigilante groups are springing up now (and quite understandably so in my opinion) but it's those that will give the EDL the excuse to hit the streets and sell it to us as a good thing. If / when that happens...

Anyone know how the song is doing chart-wise? I'm assuming the release on itunes / amazon was an official release and gets recognised on the charts i.e. billboard.

Re: Anarchy in The UK - London Riots
This is fucking ridiculous. Can't see it stopping anytime soon... it's just territory and ego now... completely out of control. The vast majority of the cunts involved in this won't even know the name of the guy shot last week... they probably don't even know that someone was shot last week at all.

The Music tonight in Leeds. I would love to see them again, too bad it's the end. It was brilliant mate... i haven't done a pit like that for years... it was absolutely mental. 9th time i saw them and, yep, the last like you say. Word is that 2 of them fell out majorly and i gotta say that there wa...

I think he looks pretty neat... love those damn shoes for sure!
Good to see him in the number 11 too. That was my number in my football playing days.

Re: Irresistible Force
I like these two new tracks more than most of Strays but I totally agree about True Nature and for me The Riches as well. I'm digging IF but the more I listen to it the lyrics are coming off a little bit Satellite Party, just a little. Yep, i'm still struggling with the SP similarities too... the s...

Re: RHCP
On that Janes / RHCP thing, it would have been cool to see Janes support them here in the UK on the late '11 tour - 3 nights at the O2 arena plus a couple extra i think. I presume it would never happen, Jane's not wanting to be support for one (Perry made a couple of digs when they supported NIN her...
