As for classic girl, yeah that’s surprising. Put the thing in the chorus, I wouldn’t be surprised if Perry hummed the basic notes and Eric embellished by adding that drone note. Classic Girl it's "borrowed" from a Bauhaus song, Hope. Regarding Of Course, in 1989 Perry was listening a lot Camper Van...
First I would I'd organize a long term plan to get them divorced from their wives and bankrupt them. Eric after wandering for months in big sur, would return to los angeles to play punk rock. Perk would play bongos for tourists on the Venice Beach, Dave has allegedly attempted suicide and overdosed ...
Dave Navarro was the first traitor to the spirit of the band, playing with Cristina Aguilera, Puff Daddy, Michael Jackson. Perry was still weirdo bizarre during Enit or even during SYTBS, but Dave was on sale for big bands, RHCP Gun's'Roses and media coverage. At that time I didn't want to say I lik...
When they play aggresively, it's pure hardcore punk, I can hear some Bad Brains. when they play slower is funk tribal metal, when they play even slower is psychedelic goth... It's almost impossible to define Janes genre. Dave plays Van Halen, Eric plays Joy Division, Perry sing mix Robert Plant/Root...
Why did I never realize that Perry's mother committed suicide? Did you forget? I thought that was pretty well known. That's why she's mentioned in Then She Did... "Will you say hello to my ma? Will you pay a visit to her? She was an artist just as you were... I'd have introduced you to her... She'd...
Why they don't play online on instagram, or Zoom or whatever platform I don't know, instead of lolla 91 playlist on spotify, share some old pics or shit like this, fucking lazy band Are they still interested in music or not, they still love playing music or not, are they still somehow creative artis...
From what I know, Xiola died in New York, not in Mexico. Perry wrote the lyrics in 1986 and Janes played Three Days in 1987, so this songs was ready before Xiola died. "One night I met a boy" should be "one night I met a poet" and the rest of lyrics come from this website http://defgav.com/sdw/songs...
Im not a big Nirvana fan
but In Utero is a masterpiece, one of best rock albums ever,
the album have a clear inspiration from his life with Courtney, I think Kurt really loved that bitch.
It's such a bummer that Perry ended up being a discount Scott Weiland in the end. RIP SCOTT Thanks for giving us a dozen better albums than Etty's husband. Kind Heaven is one of most ridiculous concept of all time, anything is better than that "messianich dinner concept album". I like Scott Weiland...
there is unusual social media activity lately....something is going to happen.
Dave picture says they are rehearsing with Chaney, but the Laughing Beats thing and this 1991 picture repost between Perry and Eric makes me think Eric could be somehow involved again
I can write an accurate review of any album with just 30 sec snippets on amazon
with 20 secs I can tell if the album is good or not
10 secs are not too much but they still give me lots of clues
Would prefer to hear ''Little Me'' n whatever else p4p may've recorded. ''Laughing beats'' sounds like some sort of Strays era outtake, Dave's playing is really mundane in that clip.
Indeed.
It's a cross between Underground, Price I Pay and Strays...
I can easily predict a Perry interview for their 2020 return: "at 61, I feel younger than ever".... "This year is going to be unique, i mean, 2020, and 20 years after jubilee, it's an astrological sign".... "Our tour is gonna be a new fresh formula, will disrupt the concept of live shows, ...." :bla...
Pretty sure what Dave and Stephen played were not what their predecessors played. You write a new part, you get writing credit. 12.5% is pretty fair for their contribution to the songs. Dave Jerden is a great producer and I'm sure could have done a great album even with those two previous guys.
I disagree with the views that diminish Dave’s contribution. Yeah, he wasn’t there a the start while they wrote some songs and it’s true he didn’t change the old guitar parts too much but I don’t think he needed to. He wasn’t being egotistical by completely changing stuff (which Eric or Perry might...
Why they didn't invite Pete this year? Not just for play guitar, also for singing, Perry can't sing anymore.
Anyway, if wasn't for Lolla money, this would be the future situation for PerryEtty: busking on some street corner playing some shitty country version of Mountain Song.
wtf isn't Spread on that list? Definitely the coolest of them all Maybe " Best Jane's-related project" would be another interesting poll for the board. I really like Deconstruction album, my favorite non-Jane and non-Porno project. I voted Kind Heaven as worst album, I'd rather listen Panic Chanel,...
Kind Heaven is radical chic concept album. "Frivolous political agitators" Perry and Etty go to a restaurant and change the world singing a karaoke song. @perryfarrell Jun 10 Had a big pot of soup with a hot lobster in it. I really am enjoying Boston this time. Having a chance to get out and see the...
You know, people can also just go to have a good time for the sake of having a good time. Your statement could apply to any artist at any point in time. There is no need to slag all attendees as folks that will lick an artist's boots just to be close their favorite artist. It just comes across as b...
