Re: What made your day today?

I finally got a haircut after cutting it myself for the past year (as the result a result of the trauma I experienced from a really crappy cut  ). It came out great! This hair stylist is a keeper. :thumb: I tried colouring my own hair for a little while and it looked terrible! I chose...

think it's the first time in 16 years that no canadian teams are in. that's okay. there's at least a dozen canadian players on each nhl team anyway, so it is like watching a canadian team.

Re: What made your day today?

I had a wonderful dinner out followed by an amazing concert - Hilario Durán Latin Big Band with Paquito D'Rivera. I could have listened to 3 more hours of those guys. Paquito is unreal. :agree: He's a very funny guy too. There was a Q&A in between the sets with him and Hilario. They talked a...

Re: Student forgotten and left in holding cell for 5 days

Wow that guy's experience was truly a living nightmare. :yikes: I don't get how he could drink his own urine if his hands were cuffed behind his back all those days. How could he undo his pants? I guess he could have taken off a shoe with one foot, peed down his leg, and collected in the shoe which ...

Re: A logical approach to suicide

It's sad a person so young, who has barely lived life, has decided that life is not worth living. Reading the description of the boy made me think of the young character, Paloma, in the book The Elegance of the Hedgehog by Muriel Barbery. From observing the adults and other people in her life she d...

I'm not sure if I'm going to go to this show. The tickets are $59.50.

Seems a bit steep for a general admission standing only venue.

Some of my co-workers(females) are slapping each other asses. It's really odd behavior for women, imo. In my circle of female friends, we do not do that sort of thing. Here's an example:While one woman was at the printer, waiting for her stuff to print, she stuck out her bottom as another woman pas...
