Here It Comes (UK PM Suggest Ban On Social Media)

From CNN

http://tinyurl.com/3bysbym

"(CNN) -- British Prime Minister David Cameron thinks he's found some culprits to blame in the recent riots that have rocked London and other cities -- Facebook and Twitter.

Saying the "free flow of information" can sometimes be a problem, Cameron's government has summoned those two social-networking sites, as well as Research In Motion, makers of the BlackBerry, for a meeting to discuss their roles during the violent outbreaks."

+++++++++++

Let's see how this plays out.

Heh, now we're getting it in the good ol' USA:

San Francisco Transit Blocks Cellphones to Hinder Protest

"SAN FRANCISCO -- A decision by San Francisco Bay Area transit officials to cut off cell phone service at some of its stations to thwart a planned protest drew angry response Saturday from one transit board member who said she was shocked that officials acted as "this type of censor."

Supposedly, there's a big protest (actually being called a "planned riot" by some) at Wall Street this Monday that may lead to big phone and internet outages in NYC Sunday night into Monday to prevent it from being well organized.

Seems that Bill Bratton from over the pond is the man the PM wants to sort the county out. Why? :noclue:
