Police losing control in Madrid
Police losing control in Madrid
Expect to see lots more of this.
Re: Police losing control in Madrid
Shit like that has been happening in Chile for a while, with all the students protesting. It has been worrying, really. It worries and angers me. The 1% sending their maids to fight the 99%.
Western society is deeply screwed, mates. Remember that it is in our/your hands. You gotta fucking fight.
It's painful. It saddens me

We had a mild dose in the UK last year with the "riots". Started out for a supposed cause then ended up with looting because the opportunity was there. I think new legislation has been put into place now for future disruptive behaviour. Water canons and rubber bullets etc... Oh the joy...
It's as if they wanted the people to riot.

Re: Police losing control in Madrid
In Chile, after the coup in 1973 the police became militarized and any attempt of a demonstration was quickly dissolved. At first, of course, they simply grabbed all the "bad guys" (i.e., members and supporters of the Socialist and Communist parties and/or their family members) and imprisoned them, tortured them, killed them and/or disappeared them (yes, as a verb.)
Demonstrations began around 1981, I think. The police would use pepper gas, water cannons (with damaging chemicals) and other similar dissuasive weapons.
Democracy came back in 1990 and that police never left nor changed their policies. The use of pepper gas isn't an exception here. It's the norm. It's the motherfucking norm. I've been to demonstrations and I've seen them being used for no reason whatsoever.
In Chile, people need to ask for authorization to march (another lovely gift Pinochet's dictatorship left us and that conveniently no government has gotten rid of.) So, let's say you're authorized to march and demonstrate from 11 AM to 2 PM. If by 2:15 PM you're still reunited in a park, chanting against whatever you don't like, you get sprayed with water cannons and pepper gas. This is not an exaggeration, this is what actually happens.
Right now my girlfriend is at a march. I gave her my anti-pepper gas-spray, just in case. One of my biggest worries is that she's the president of her career in her university and the police is aware of that. She's also very, very hot. So if they detain her, there's a big chance she'd be victim to physical and sexual abuse. A couple of months ago the police captured around 10 boys and girls (between 12 and 15 years of age) because they were protesting. They were forced to remove absolutely every piece of clothes, for no reason. They weren't searched or anything, they were just humiliated. The cops were removed from their jobs. One hell of a punishment, uh?
Previous governments knew better how to handle the masses and how to control the police, but this government actually encourages police violence. It pisses me off. Everything is so, so wrong.

Re: Police losing control in Madrid
We need permits to protest in America, too.
Re: Police losing control in Madrid
It's amazing how "the people" vote these idiots in yet get shafted from a great height when they protest.

Makes ya wonder if the world is about to eat the rich.

It'll happen. When, I don't know, but tension is increasing, especially in Europe.ellis wrote:Makes ya wonder if the world is about to eat the rich.

Personally, I can't wait for that day. It wouldn't be bad to see all churches on fire, while we're at it.Bandit72 wrote:It'll happen. When, I don't know, but tension is increasing, especially in Europe.ellis wrote:Makes ya wonder if the world is about to eat the rich.
