Re: Donald Trump running for President.
I guess Trumps diagnosis puts down next week's debate, maybe the rest of the debates if he gets seriously ill.
As far as how this affects his chances of reelection, I think it can swing either way - if it turns out to be a mild case and he recovers quickly, it could bolster what he's said and many supporters think, that the vast majority of positive cases are not much more then a bad flu, just like Trump has been claiming and could increase his chances of a win next month. On the other hand, if he gets pretty sick and he's down for weeks or even a month plus, he's done - no one is going to vote for a critically ill old guy to run the country.
I'm not gonna be that guy who gloats over "Karma" or whatever and happy he's infected, but it has to be said, everything he's said and done since this began came back to bite him in the ass at the worst possible time for him. He's now become the perfect example of not following simple, logical medical guidelines equals an increased chance you'll eventually catch this shit. Frankly, I'm amazed he went this long before finally testing positive.

Re: Donald Trump running for President.
I bet you a million pounds it was one big publicity stunt.
Re: Donald Trump running for President.
I entertained this thought briefly before watching video of him speaking. He was clearly under the weather. And given the number of people now testing positive in the WH, there's no doubt this all happened, and happened precisely because the administration has utterly failed to understand or care about this pandemic.
Re: Donald Trump running for President.
But you can be “under the weather” for a lot of things. I still believe he’s got a cold and then played on the fact it’s “COVID 19”, re-entered office after 5 days or whatever and started banging on ‘It’s fine’ ‘I’m the greatest president’, ‘don’t worry’....he’s playing you all.Hype wrote: ↑Wed Oct 07, 2020 11:38 amI entertained this thought briefly before watching video of him speaking. Yea, very suspiciously convenient...to the day.
All the "news" is being packaged and sold in fire sale fashion the last couple weeks/months. Major players/money involved..
The "immunity" thing and "ownership" of COVID is HUUUU-GE.

Re: Donald Trump running for President.
Does everyone see it?
Trump is closing the deal with Americans right now.
I think it's plain as day. Just sayin.... Hopefully it's obvious.
He's holding up a gigantic nation sized mirror with his bluster and carnage and all the media is going full ballistic.
Too true....... people vote for emotional reasons..NOT against.....only for......period.
The 'against vote' were voting against anyways...ie doesn't matter.....
I don't love the guy, but his mad persuasion skills are epic.
Foreign policy - no wars - out of middle east - peace deal - China feet to the fire - prison reform....all cool....
Could do without the internal fomenting divisions and madness.....whatever.
So we're clear im definitely NOT voting for Trump
Gonna eat garbage trucks worth of crow if I'm wrong.
I won't be.
We'll see won't we.....

Re: Donald Trump running for President.
I've been wrong regarding Trump in the past (see the first few pages of this thread for example) but I really feel he's done and he's going to get creamed next month in the election. Unfortunately for him, the "October Surprise(s)" have not been in his favor. He may have had a chance leading up to the Covid outbreak in the White House, but that and his handling of it, his awful, off-putting debate performance and now the Right Wing militia group's plot against Michigan Governor Whitmer has to have moved the needle significantly against him for the fence sitters. The mainstream media is totally in lockstep against him at this point daily hammering his massive, easy to criticize deficiencies. The general public is just fatigued to the breaking point from everything that's gone down this year (I know I am) to the point that anything is better then what we have right now.

Totally understand where you're coming from, 4 years ago I'd totally agree. I was shocked too.
Suburbs and countryside here (liberal state) is enthusiastic for Trump. Out everyday on the street corners with signs. Not one Biden sign in the city.
No matter what happens...it'll be epic.....

Well, one thing is for sure, guaranteed.
No matter who wins the election, 20% or more of people are going to have serious mental health problems.....

"Are" going to have....? I think at the very least that number has long ago been exceeded. You're going to get a good taste of just how far gone a huge number of Americans are who will lose their minds when the results of next month's election is finally revealed regardless of which side wins.
