So I thought I was through this. I finished my 5 day run of Paxlovid last weekend and tested negative on Sunday. While I never felt 100% the succeeding few days, I'd say I was feeling just a bit run down with low energy, no big deal. I wake up Wednesday morning feeling like total crap and have a low grade fever, test myself and it's positive again. I imagine this is supposed to be the Paxlovid "rebound" but I actually feel more shitty then I have since this all started a week and a half ago. Worse, I gotta isolate again for at least another 5 days.

I'm hearing this a lot. I was convinced I'd have the rebound, but thankfully didn't. I'm betting it turns in to a longer treatment cycle. I know Fauci had to take it twice, and some doctors are saying a 10 day plan might work better.

Well that sucks.

I got COVID a couple months ago, about a month after getting the booster. It wasn't too bad, just a lot of congestion and pressure in my sinus' and a sore throat and low energy. Tested positive for about 5 days. It took a couple weeks to feel mostly better. Now I'm fine.

I'm also hearing a lot of longer haul stories from people who took approved therapeutics. Don't know if that's just the nature of their immune response to COVID, or the therapeutic minimizes impact but draws out natural immunity response

I got it a month ago. I was lucky and had a mild fever and body aches for 1 day and I was tired for about a week after that.

I got covid and I am vaxxed and got the boostie.
They originally said if you got vaxxxed and boosted you would NOT get the virus.

Well, it was never 100% effective. But yes, the virus mutated quite a bit and very quickly. It's still very effective at keeping you out of the hospital.

I've seen video of Fauci, Biden and Walensky ALL saying the vaccine would prevent the spread of the virus as well as stopping infection. The story only changed after it became obvious that that information was incorrect. I regret getting vaccinated and I hope my immune isn't now destroyed.

The statistics at the time supported that. The story changed as the virus mutated.

I assure you, your "immune isn't now destroyed." Rest assured that you're protected MUCH better from severe illness as the data continues to very much support.

We have to look at this with common sense. They said we'd be protected. They lied. I also hate how NOTHING has been done to China...the ones that released the virus.
It's absolutely insane that noone wants to hold China accountable. We will just vaxx up and wear masks! I'm pissed that I listened to these assholes.

They stated the facts as they existed at the time. The data supported that protection. The virus changed. I'm not sure how many other ways to explain this.

Also, while the vaccine won't stop you from getting it, there is this:

I think you need to shift your perspective a bit. Those vaccines are extremely protective against getting severely ill. Isn't that what's important? And isnt that worth being pretty happy about?

No, the people that released this virus on the world need to be held accountable. If someone shot and killed your wife and the didn't go to prison, you wouldn't be OK or happy about it.

Your blind faith in an experimental drug leads me to believe you think there was an insurrection on 1/6 and the Floyd riots were fiery, but peaceful.

Yay, I'm done with Covid!

I can't say it was that bad, really a very mild case no doubt. The Paxlovid Rebound thing is real though - I was feeling much more shitty a couple days after I finished my run on the drug and the following week I was really run down and went through a two day period where it was kinda going in my lungs causing non-stop uncontrollable coughing day and night. Oh, and I eventually did lose my sense of taste around the 2nd week which was kinda good (I hardly ate and lost almost 15 lbs) and not so good (you soon realize how much you take the sense of taste for granted).

Now my wife has it, she's in her 3rd day and her case so far seems as mild as mine was.

Love how everyone is an expert now. Do whatever you want. Tired of this shit.

That aside, my wife has had it for over a week. I'm sure the kids and I have it but no symptoms. The wife is still pretty tired. Her taste is coming back. So weird how everyone's reaction is very different. Same with my friends wife. Nothing, yet he was super sick.

So far, I haven't contracted COVID. I'm still pretty careful because I take care of my mother who is in her mid 80s and in a high risk group.
I had my 2nd booster a couple weeks ago and I still wear a mask when I use public transit, which is all the time since I don't drive. I wear a mask at the grocery store and any place that is crowded. I think I will continue wearing a mask on the bus and subway even long after Covid. I haven't had a cold or been sick at all in over 2 years!

Agree Guysmiley , at this point people should do what they think is best for themselves and their families.

I guess things will need to get a lot more crazier and more obvious before some people start to question things. It's interesting to see people are still attached to the illusion.
