i know the post has outrageous headlines at times so that's why i had to ask. if it said "new york times" i wouldn't have to ask.

This isn't the first shot dead person on the front page. Remember the picture of Carmine Galante shot dead on the front cover??

So we get a video and pictures of Saddam being hanged, and video and pictures of Gaddafi being shot abd killed. They love to sensationalise these tyrants. But, hang on a minute, the so called 'worlds most wanted man' was found and shot dead in May.

and if the press had them they would show them. it's not our govt releasing these photos. i'm fine not seeing the pictures. are you suggesting that the us govt made everything up?

I would have thought it would have been in the US interest to show pictures? Or at least taken him alive. Just seems a bit strange to me that the man they've been chasing for the best part of 10 years suddenly gets killed, gets chucked off a ship at sea and that's all we need to know. Do you not find that a tad weird?

- What the US and its allies have been doing is inform determined groups of rebels about the location of their target, so that the rebels can do what they please (i.e., torture them, pee on them, burn them, etc.) The US doesn't *really* want anybody alive, regardless of what they say.

- The average American is either mind-numbingly stupid, mind-numbingly ignorant or mind-numbingly naive, so he'll believe anything and/or is so confused by the moronic US media that he just won't care and say "I hate Muslims".

Thing is Larry, you don't have to be of superior intellect to ask questions or do a bit of research. I think people are more apathetic than stupid. And I guess mainstream media doesn't help matters as that pushes the naivety along.
