Didn't really care for this song the first time I heard it. After a couple more listens with headphones on - like it!

My thoughts were exactly the same -- cut to two days later, and it keeps getting stuck in my head!

It was announced back in January, but I just found out the other day that CHAI has broken up.

I'm glad I got to see them :wavesad:

Right now: Haiduk. Non stop riffs, dark atmosphere and it's fast as hell.

L.A. Witch covers The Cramps classic "Garbageman." Love this kind of heavy reverb surf guitar sound on a lot of their older stuff. They don't quite stick the landing on this take surely but rate an A for effort.

After ignoring them for 30 years, I LOVE Joy Division.

Listened to Jack Irons solo album while cooking. Way better than anything I heard on the last two chili pepper albums. What I'd expect a drummer's solo album to be, hypnotic but also melodic.

I adore his solo stuff. Great for background hypnotic music and great rhythms. That first record is a real gem and his other stuff is good as well.

His first record with Pearl Jam (No Code) is their last great album.

They did a great job with Lazarus. Bowie's 2000s completely restored him to the position he'd lost in the mid-eighties. I think in terms of the number of good and great songs written only McCartney can rival him. Paul's had a similar, though less dramatic, resurgence, putting himself back together in the nineties.

I've been listening to Inger Lorre's Gloryland, a beautiful alt-country-ish album. Extraordinary voice.

saw GBV tonight (guided by voices)...newish venue in a blossoming part of town...66 year old singer backed by mostly 50 year olds...on a back to back, san fran-la...nobody punched each other...they played like 30 songs and gave everyone what they wanted and more....how hard is it compared to Jane's? I get it perry could never sing 30 but seeing other old dudes do it with ease was striking...but GBV have like 1000 songs and Jane's has what? 75?

Exactly, kv! There are MANY older musicians still touring who still sound great.

A couple weeks back I saw Paul Weller who is 66, play 30 songs for 2.5 hrs. He still looks and sounds amazing!

Earlier in the year I saw Gary Numan, also 66 and still fantastic.

Currently there's a tour called Beat (Adrian Belew, Tony Levin, Steve Vai, Danny Carey) with a couple former members of King Crimson touring who are over 60 and 70. Adrian Belew (75)is singing, sounds really good from the vids I've seen.
