Primus - Frizzle Fry
Serge Gainsbourg - Histoire de Melody Nelson
Jane's Addiction - RDLH
RHCP - Bssm I think (I love OHM and Mothers Milk and these are the ones I play most - but I think that one will hold up after the most listens)
Ozric Tentacles - Erpland
BLO - Chapter one
Kyuss - Welcome to Sky Valley
Tool - Lateralus
Guns N Roses - Live Era

Ask me tomorrow and I'll answer something else
Black Sabbath - Sabotage should be in there for me as well. I don't have enough 60's - 70's albums

Everyone who put RDLH ahead of NS is crazy. Yes, Three Days and Then She Did... but... NS is the best album, by far.

JA- NS
Eddie Murphy- Raw
Johnny Cash- at Folsom prison
The Cure- Pornography
Robyn Hitchcock- gotta let this hen out
Prince- Sign "o" the times
Rage against the machine- s/t
The Jon Spencer Blues Explosion- Orange
VH- Fair Warning
Echo and the bunnymen- Ocean Rain

The last one is tough right now I'm listening to a lot of the bunnymen so that gets the last spot. It could easily have been any of the following:

Mark lanegan- blues funeral
The stone rose- s/t
PWEI- this is the day...this is the hour...this is this
The national- boxed
Tricky- pre-millennium tension
Happy Mondays- pills etc
U2- Achtung baby

You mention U2.....they have been mentioned before. October, Boy, and War all remind me in feel (production, honesty, youthful fearlessness) of Jane's 1.0 I should have included War

All of those are excellent, but for me Achtung Baby represents a crazy time in my life. I think everyone has certain times in their life were everything is just clicking, I was listening to that a lot during one of those periods of my life.

I am with you on all of these, except I have trouble with Pennywise and Ween. That Autolux album always blows my mind... Future Perfect is what I think it was called? Man... There are some perfectly written songs on there... like... if Kevin Shields made less noise.

Back in my undergrad days, a PhD grad student at the radio station introduced me to Ween (they had just put out a new album), and I tried really hard to like them, because that guy had great taste in music, but it didn't speak to me then. Got a suggestion for where to start over with them?

Pennywise is cool, I think I was just too late. Too many people around me who liked Pennywise also liked a lot of garbage, and I guess I got turned off by association. :conf:

That Archers of Loaf album is fucking amazing, too, btw...
