Are there any bands you like 100% ?

Got this idea from another board, and thought it'd be cool. Basically, are there any bands out there who you like EVERY SINGLE song (singles, album tracks, b-sides) of? It's more difficult than you think.

For me, I'd say Baby Chaos, Deckard and Honeycrack, although these bands only lasted one or two albums each.

For bands with even bigger catalogues it gets even more difficult and I could only probably say The Wildhearts and Feeder. Jane's would be in there, but they recorded Superhero and Wrong Girl...

What about you guys?

Fuck a duck, that is hard! Not at all sure... The Music on 1st thought but there are a couple on the b-sides compilation that i'm not mental about - I don't "dislike" them though so i guess this could be a goer. Dylan would seriously push it (impressive given the output) but then the whole full-on christian period is a bit of a rough road for me.

I'd say Porno but that feels like cheating. Anyway, i'll deffo come back to this thread, just need to think about it some more.

Really Friday I'm in love bothers you that much? I love that song for all of it's pop. The video is great. Pornography is probably my favorite, but I just really enjoy most everything fat Bob has done. Wild mood swings is hit or miss.

Also can't understand the love for Michael Jackson, sorry not at all.

That is the only band I can think of off the top of my head with out a doubt....





There are many bands very close, but they have too many albums.

The Music (probably the closest, next to Out Hud. I love all three albums)
Killing Joke (15 albums kind of kills it for them......)
Beatles
The Velvet Underground (way too much experimental crap though.....)



I don't experiment too much with bands, so little known ones would probably make it, but I don't listen to them....

I Will Never Be The Same

Quickly became my favorite band ever in the last 3 years just because every damn song is fucking rad. And I ended up becoming friends with the guy behind the whole project, so he has sent me demos and unreleased material that no one else has heard, and even THAT is amazing.

Don't listen to More or Obscured by clouds very often either, but there are some great tracks on it.

I agree with the Sex Pistols, but they only have 12 songs or so :)

I could go for Primus, but I don't like their 2 latest albums that much.

I'll go for My Sleeping Karma, maybe Kyuss

I do like the Final Cut musically, it's a bit wordy as Gilmour once put it, but still great work. I'm sure Roger Water's concept behing it is a fascinating and clever one as well. Momentary is my least favorite of the three, it does however feature two PF classics, Sorrow and Learning to fly.

The Division Bell is a fantastic album imo. Nothing but great songs and guitar playing. The Division Bell tour show from Earls Court is one of the best shows I've ever seen

This is a tough one for a few reasons. If a band has a few albums that are, start to finsh awesome, they will either go on too long and eventually shit out a dud, change members and turn lame, or reunite and fuck up the legacy.

Or what about the Misfits? I can listen to everything that I recognize as the Misfits, but some bald, except for a devillock, shit bag hijacked the name and pillaged the legacy. Maybe Neutral Milk Hotel, but 2 albums seams almost like cheating.

For me I can only 100% say The Beatles.

I don't know 100% of any artists' catalouge, except Ralph Ellison in lit. He only has 1 and I love it, so him. So if my experience with any particular musical artist represents them as '100%', then no.

Shakes comes close, but there are works where he betrays to being human.

Dinosaur Jr maybe. Black Rebel Motorcycle Club perhaps. I'd like to say Primus but there's that Brown album... Ah, fuck it. Anything above 99% is impossible.

Yeah its hard to say any band 100% as there's usually at least ONE song you're not too crazy about...for me I guess the Beatles come really close...for me there are bands where the first decade of their work or a particular 5-10 year period where they were perfect is more the case for me...bands that fit that bill: Jane's 1.0, Sly and the Family Stone, Bob Marley...very tough call...
