Please don't say Adam Carolla. I don't like him at all

If there is a good guest I like the WTF podcast, or Harmony in My Head from Henry Rollins. Good music on there. http://www.rollins-archive.com/

I would add Here's the Thing with Alec Baldwin.
Not really a podcast anymore, but I like checking out the guests on KCRW Morning Becomes Eclectic

Everything by Ricky Gervais. The most downloaded podcast, according to the Guiness Records. Or at least it was a few years ago.

Fucking hilarious.

actually adam carolla made a big deal about it a couple years back and now he has the 'record'... kinda lame.
In May 2011, the show became the Guinness World Records holder for the most downloaded podcast after receiving 59,574,843 unique downloads from March 2009 to March 16, 2011, overtaking the previous record set by The Ricky Gervais Show, a podcast hosted by British comedian Ricky Gervais.

I should have listed Ricky Gervais in my first post. I've listened to everything Ricky Gervais that is available to me on the Kindle Fire multiple times already.

Some of the Podcasts that have been said here, Bertcast and DVDASA, I've been unable to find on the Kindle. Savage Love is good. I follow Dan Savage on Twitter so I knew I'd like it. I also liked Here's the Thing. Another one that I just listened to for the first time today that I think is good is Doug Loves Movies.

Kevin Smith has a bunch that I listen to...Jay and Silent Bob Get Old was one of my faves, but once they started touring with it I got turned off a bit...Kev does one I loved called Fatman on Batman where he gets people who've been involved in Batman TV, films or comics on..for pro wrestling a guy named Colt Cabana does one called Art of Wrestling...

Just got this from Marc Maron's mailing list:
If you all weren’t aware yet you should know that some podcasters are under attack from patent trolls. Adam Carolla is actually being sued. A patent troll called Personal Audio claims to own the patent for podcasting and is suing Adam and some other podcasts and sent letters of coercion to me and about a dozen others. It’s serious bullshit. I know you’re thinking, “How can you patent ‘podcasting?’ That’s ridiculous.” It is ridiculous, even when you look at the patent, but now someone has to pay LOTS of money to prove that.

Patent trolls are companies who don’t make anything or don’t sell anything, but own patents and use them as a weapon to extort money from businesses and individuals, usually demanding licensing fees that are cheaper than actually litigating a case in court. A patent troll uses patents as legal weapons, instead of actually creating any new products or coming up with new ideas. Instead, trolls are in the business of litigation (or even just threatening litigation). The business model works because patent litigation is so expensive—often costing well into the millions of dollars. This means that when facing the threat of a patent suit, many will choose to settle instead of fight. Of course, this just further emboldens the patent trolls.

Podcasters are uniting to figure out a course of action and help each other. The EFF has been helping us and also asking us to help them support new legislation called the SHIELD Act to make Patent Trolling less prevalent. Please go here eff.org/shield and let your representatives know how you feel.

Not sure if anyone's interested, or whether or not BBC podcasts work stateside, but these series of podcasts were compelling listening.

Eight episodes on the David Koresh story from 1993. Something I remember but never really delved into. Fascinating.

I was going to recommend DLM.
Been to a bunch of tapings, always a good time. Probably going again on the 17th, likely to be Todd Glass as a guest since he's doing 2 sets at the same club later that night.
