BRMC

#1 Post by Easton » Thu Mar 21, 2013 5:31 am

Been listening a lot to "Specter at the Feast", the new Black Rebel Motorcycle Club album. Another solid album by this great band and one of the best albums of this year so far (in my opinion of course). With the exception of "Sometimes the Light", there isn't a weak track on it. Love the cover of The Call's "Let the Day Begin" and the last two tracks are really excellent.

Tomorrow they play in here The Netherlands, but I didn't buy a ticket on time :cona: Too bad, cause they are also a great live act.

Any more fans of BRMC here?

Like them, never seen them live.

They're playing here in May. Ticket prices are reasonable at $25 each...I might go.

I was gonna go to one of the LA Wiltern shows but discovered they are playing the old Galaxy Theater (now called "The Observatory") in Santa Ana a day after the LA show and went for that date. Tickets are GA and they're still available and a bit cheaper than the LA tickets. It's been about a decade since I last saw a show there (Concrete Blonde) but it's a pretty nice place, set up kind of like a big dinner theater playhouse, smaller and more casual than the Wiltern and for me, it's only about 15 minutes away. The only other time I saw them was about 6 years ago when they opened for Jesus And The Mary Chain at the Wiltern which was an excellent show. I'd really like to hear them do the original version of America X (MK Ultra) - I really like that version.

Saw them on the Howl tour. Was really impressed with their live show.

This CD is great. They never disappoint. Going to see them in May, this will be my third time seeing. The other 2 were excellent. They play long shows and are a lot of fun.
