It's an ELO kind of day...

Part of the soundtrack of the childhood of those of a certain age.

Really looking forward to seeing Howard Jones on the 1st. HIs music was in heavy rotation during my teen years.

ELO was my first big outdoor show (Anaheim Stadium) back in the summer of 1978. They were touring the Out Of The Blue album and they had a really massive stage production. The stage was a giant flying saucer that split open like a hamburger revealing the band. Probably the most lasers I've ever seen at a show to this day.

Wow! That would have been something to see! I read that Jeff Lynne didn't really like to tour because he didn't like how the music sounded live, he preferred the produced studio sound.
In 1978 I was 11 and my only concert at that point was Shaun Cassidy.

Today is the 45th anniversary of the Replicas album and I'm seeing GN tonight! No doubt Gary will do something to mark the anniversary.
