Yeah, I know...I could reciprocate with another show or a fancy dinner. But that's itwally wrote:That's not how any of this works.perkana wrote: I wish someone would take me, but not ask for anything in return
U2 traditionally does ticket drops (at least here in the US) for really good seats and the general admission floor during the last few days before show dates even for shows that show as "sold out" for months in advance.perkana wrote:Yeah, I know...I could reciprocate with another show or a fancy dinner. I just read the first presale day was sold out in 15 minutes. The fuck I'm going to even try to get a ticket. The only time I was able to get a decent one, was when I suscribed to the U2 fan club for their presale.
If they had done it like the Chili Peppers (didn't have to pay anything to get into their presale), I would have tried. I'm fucking old for this shit.
I'll keep this in mind. Thanks!Pandemonium wrote:U2 traditionally does ticket drops (at least here in the US) for really good seats and the general admission floor during the last few days before show dates even for shows that show as "sold out" for months in advance.perkana wrote:Yeah, I know...I could reciprocate with another show or a fancy dinner. I'm sure it's going to be fucking awesome!!Larry B. wrote:The online sale here was absolute shit, so I just went today and stood on a line for an hour, but finally got my tickets. Decent seats, spent around $400. The show better be fucking good, because nobody is reciprocating me with a fancy dinner...
Hours before the Seattle show, General Admission seats dropped to around $60. I couldn't convince my wife or daughter to go with me. So, I didn't. I don't think these were tix U2 dropped. They were just reseller tix that weren't going to sell at all, I think.Pandemonium wrote:U2 traditionally does ticket drops (at least here in the US) for really good seats and the general admission floor during the last few days before show dates even for shows that show as "sold out" for months in advance.perkana wrote:Yeah, I know...I could reciprocate with another show or a fancy dinner. Not everyone lives in Southern California where every band/musician will eventually play a show. I guess you have to see them when you can.kv wrote:Why would you pay so much just to see Beck in a huge venue when you could catch him some place small down the road?
Go for floor GA. At least you'll have a chance to get within the same time zone as the stage.Six7Six7 wrote:U2 added a Phoenix date.
I pretty much don't care about seeing them again (I saw them on the Elevation tour, it was ok, but nothing I need to see again), but BECK is opening, and I DO want to see him.
So i'll probably get tickets just for Beck.
Because he currently doesn't have any shows booked at some small place down the road.kv wrote:Why would you pay so much just to see Beck in a huge venue when you could catch him some place small down the road?
It wasn't a priority till now. He played a festival here last year, but I was out of town that week. Phoenix is in a weird area where most bands typically opt to go from Los Angeles to Vegas to Texas (or vice versa) and we get skipped a lot.kv wrote:He's had 25 years
Exactly what I did.Pandemonium wrote:Go for floor GA. At least you'll have a chance to get within the same time zone as the stage.Six7Six7 wrote:U2 added a Phoenix date.

Right on, enjoy! Figured it being a college town meant you were in heavy tour rotation...my bad...im probably just jaded like creep said living in LA and seeing Beck whenever for 5 bucks way back whenSix7Six7 wrote:It wasn't a priority till now. I'm taking my opportunity while I can.
