Another Scott Weiland "supergroup"

Teaser video:

Bumblefoot and Scott Weiland Form New Supergroup, Art of Anarchy

A new supergroup called Art of Anarchy will feature Bumblefoot and Scott Weiland, along with John Moyer of Disturbed and twins Jon and Vince Votta. You can get a taste of the band’s upcoming self-titled debut album in the teaser video above.
Ron “Bumblefoot” Thal has been with Guns N’ Roses since 2006, a stint that includes one GNR album, 2008′s ‘Chinese Democracy.’ He’s released two solo projects, including ‘The Adventures of Bumblefoot,’ which was reissued for its 15th-anniversary in 2010.
Weiland memorably fronted the Stone Temple Pilots before co-founding Velvet Revolver with former Guns N’ Roses members Slash, Duff McKagan and Matt Sorum. Weiland was with the group from 2003-08. They’ve since reunited in 2012, but appear to be moving forward now without Weiland, who also has a solo album slated for 2015.
Art of Anarchy grew out of a nearly two-decades-long friendship between Bumblefoot and the Vottas. Bumblefoot not only serves as second guitarist but also as producer and engineer on the group’s album. Jon Votta was the principal composer for ‘Art of Anarchy,’ which is due sometime this spring.

A few days ago Richard Patrick from Filter expressed some concern after hearing from fans that his shows were a wreck.

So Scott puts out a press release saying "I haven't had a needle in my arm in 13 years, but thanks for your concern"

Then like 3 days later, this show happens, and the whole thing is recorded, and here we are.

Scott clearly was deflecting away from the fact that he quite clearly is on pills and alcohol. Dude needs some serious help.

Never been a fan, but for a washed up dude singing 20 year old songs it wasn't that bad.

No, that was pretty bad. And to make it worse, the band collectively looks like they would love to be just about anywhere else than on that stage. To be fair, it has to suck to go from playing decent sized venues and sheds to getting kicked out of your band (again) and playing what appears to be a one-bus road trip of the bar circuit with a group of scrubs barely a month after his guitarist died from a likely OD.

I'm really curious to know what Joey Castillo, who is currently drumming for him, really thinks of everything going on around him. I've had the pleasure of meeting him a few times, and he's always seemed like a very nice, level headed guy.

He can't be making that much money drumming for Scott.

Yeah it sucks, it's like post Nuno Satellite Party doing Jane's songs. The bar is set so low sucking is a given. This does exactly what it's supposed to do. I was expecting to see him falling over and not knowing the words.

Interesting the news source is Dave Navarro via Twitter. Probably the most expected musician death since Amy Winehouse.

Bummer. I wonder if it's a hoax? Only one news source with it and it's a small website that can't seem to handle the traffic. Say what you may about him. He was one of my favorite front men.
