I was fairly hopeful about it a long time ago when it was announced. I really liked the movie when I was a kid, and I even got to meet Yul Brynner once. Ed Harris is great, but I don't like J.J. Abrams at all, so I hope him being an executive producer isn't apparent in the finished project. The long delay was a bit worrisome, so we'll have to wait and see how it goes (or others will see, in the event that I don't end up watching it due to no longer having much time for movies and tv).

I've gone into this series not knowing a thing about it and I thoroughly enjoyed the first episode.

Once I figure out what's going on, I think I'm going to love this series.

I enjoyed the first episode. Given how much exposition has to happen to orient the average view, I thought they did a good job. And the very last moment was perfectly executed. You know it can only get better from here.

I never saw the original movie. I worked in a video store when I was 15, and it was on my list as I found the poster fascinating. Will have to revisit it. Also, wow. Crichton. Crichton has had a huge influence on our popular culture.

I liked it, it scared me even more than The Exorcist tv series. Any sci-fi movie/show about robots becoming aware excites me and scares the crap out of me.

I watched the first episode without knowing anything about the series or the movie. I thought it was pretty good. I want to see the movie.

Don't worry (?), one day you'll get to see it up close and personal..... you know, when the robot uprising takes over the world... Not sure why they would want to though.. unless they could feel emotions... otherwise it would be pointless....

Watched the movie with the kids 5, 9 and 12 considering it's from 1973 it still holds up kinda, is the series suitable for the nippers?

It is violent but not something I would have freaked out as a kid.

In the first episode, besides graphic and bloody violence, there was nudity (boobs).

There was also some violent, sexually suggestive dialogue as a character is drags another character away by her hair:

Dolores: No, no, no, please don't hurt him. I'll do whatever you say.

Dolores: (screams)

Man in Black: I didn't pay all this money 'cause I want it easy. I want you to fight.

Still not entirely sure what's going on, but I enjoy the show very much.

The Man in Black character (Ed Harris) trying to find this maze to go deeper into the game is my favorite part of the show so far, even though I don't know what it means quite yet.

One thing I do know is that I would love to go into the Westworld world. While wearing a black hat :tiphat:

Sorry for replying until now erotic cheeses, I was waiting to watch episode 3. It's one of those shows that you want to watch the next episode right away. Ed Harris is scary as fuck.

My mom reminded me about the boss lady, actress from Borgen.

Danish actress Sidse Babett Knudsen. I think she's great too.

I think I finally figured out something with the show, but I'm going to keep it to myself as to not spoil anything for the few people here that are watching.

I really love it when they play modern songs during points of the show. Mixing in NIN Something I Can Never Have was cool.

Fans who've longed to hear full versions of what have only been tiny snippets in the show can now stream (or buy) an EP with highlights from the Westworld score. It includes the first cover song featured on the program, Soundgarden's "Black Hole Sun," along with solo piano versions of Radiohead's "No Surprises" and The Cure's "A Forest." The EP also includes an orchestrated instrumental of The Rolling Stones' "Paint It, Black" and composer Ramin Djawadi's main Westworld theme. (Djawadi is the man responsible for Game Of Throne's epic theme.) Listen below with Spotify or Apple Music. http://www.npr.org/sections/allsongs/20 ... nally-here
