I kind of agree however 'Bike' is a great track!Pandemonium wrote: ↑Thu Jan 24, 2019 9:40 pmI still can't get into any of their Syd Barrett albums or anything post-The Wall.

Whaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaat!? The first album is great. Astronomy domine for instance is an amazing, amazing song.

Yeah, Piper is a stroke of genius.
Piper might be a bit harder to get into, but I think it's unbelievable that the album still sounds so strange, even 50 years later. It hasn't aged a bit. Not a bad track on it imo. It's a bit childlike, dreamlike; but then it's not ...
Saucerful is great as well: Let there be more light with the doped out solo in the end, Set the controls, Remember a day, Jugband blues ... The title track might be a bit noisy, but check out the Live at Pompeii version, it might give you a different perspective. Again, I can't stress this enough: Listen to Live at Pompeii, it has the definitive version of the tracks: Echoes, Eugene, Controls, Saucerful, Pieces etc .... All great
Meddle is great, cause it has Echoes on it!
Haven't really gotten into Obscured, Ummagumma, More etc ... But will give obscured another spin.

Idles. Might be my favorite band of the moment. Touring the US in a couple months, looks like the Fonda Theater show on 5/22 in LA may be my first show of 2019.

Yes mate, bloody brilliant band - absolutely thunderous live. Seeing them again a couple of times later this month.Pandemonium wrote: ↑Thu Feb 28, 2019 1:20 pmIdles. Nice find, Panda.
I just listened and I like. Checked if they're coming my way, can't see any dates, but will keep an eye on the listings.
I just heard Fontaines D.C from Ireland. I think they're pretty good.
Also Shame

Idles sounds great ... nice find. I think I will go to the KC show; it is the same week as Slayer.

So damn good

I'm not sure if I'm "digging" the latest Madonna song with Maluma but it's growing on me on the third listen. I can see it being one of the hit songs this summer. I also see myself drunk dancing to it after a few glasses of rosé.
Some silly lyrics though..."we built a cartel just for love"

I played my son some Pendulum a few weeks ago and he now loves them. Got me listening to them again! Love this song.

Man, thanks for that link. October looks a lot better'n two weeks with what's going on. I was planning to go to the show at the Fonda in a couple weeks but it falls the day after the LA Killing Joke show which would be a bit tough to deal with considering recent events with my wife.tvrec wrote: ↑Wed May 08, 2019 10:03 amhttps://concerts1.livenation.com/event/ ... _LN2893327

Caught Sharon Van Etten at Glastonbury. Never heard of her before, very impressed.

There 's like 20 m between the stage and the front row.
Very intimate setting

What do people think of Biily Eilish? I'd never heard of her until about 3 months ago. I've listened to the album and some of it is growing on me. It's like a depressed and angst ridden Lana del Rey in parts?
She's also the number 1 artist listened to on Spotify which i thought was pretty mad.
