Hello everybody. It's been a while. We've got a new song out called ''Desperate''. We tried to give an 80's feel to it, acoustic ballad type of thing.
Anyway, hope you guys enjoy it.

Please stop.
I'd just delete this whole thread if the forum actually had traffic on it and it actually mattered.

I really enjoyed the opening lyrics “You don’t want a Taco Bell.”alcapone_dudu wrote: ↑Tue Sep 10, 2019 7:06 amHello everybody. It's been a while. We've got a new song out called ''Desperate''. We tried to give an 80's feel to it, acoustic ballad type of thing.

Aside from that, I think it’s quite forward-thinking that the singer just does away completely with “keys”, “intonation” and interesting melodies. I also think the song title is a good reflection of the band’s marketing campaign.
Finally, I just want to point out that this thread is my only bridge to the “dislike” button for that band’s YouTube videos, so I’m a bit torn on whether this thread should be nuked or not.

Well, it's less bad than the other things I heard.
It still sucks though. The singing is off key, the guitar solo is from another song or something, but the chord progression ain t that bad

Re: New sound: Delicious Grace
I'm feeling in a more positive mood than usual today. So here's something:
Your songs in general (including this one) are not only very poorly recorded and composed, but lack anything remotely attractive. As long as your songs lack a hook, a mood, 'colour'... they will not work. Your songs are completely forgettable, however decent your musicians might be. The singer is almost atrocious, by the way. Get rid of him.
I'm telling you all this from experience. I too had a band, recorded things with them, played gigs, etc. And we sucked donkey balls, but couldn't see it then. So I and several other people here, who are or were musicians, are telling you that all of your current repertoire is terrible. If anyone is congratulating you, they don't mean it. I'd bet that nobody, apart from the band members and the people who have to endure your rehearsals, would remember anything about your songs after listening to them. 100% of people in the real world would immediately skip your song if it appeared on the radio.
You can be congratulated on your persistence, your desire to keep writing and to improve your writing, and the improved quality of your recordings. But rest assured that the final product (i.e., your 'songs') wouldn't qualify for a shitty version of a shitty demo. They are a load of old arse. From 1 to 10, 1 being a monkey sitting on a piano and 10 being a Pink Floyd + The Beatles supergroup in 1967, your band is on a 2. So keep pushing forward, keep practicing, keep writing these pieces of rubbish and soon you'll get to a 3. But it's just as important that you don't pretend you're at a 4.

Re: New sound: Delicious Grace
I can assure you with 100% certainty that it is not a prank nor a 'social experiment'. It's pure lack of talent and a desperate need of approval.
Re: New sound: Delicious Grace
Yeah, that’s another possibility. Maybe he’s trying to rack up some plays on YouTube (I think one of his songs has over 1,000 views.) Not sure why bother. It’s not as if he’s getting any money or anything out of it. The only 5 likes he gets per song are his bandmembers.
Re: New sound: Delicious Grace
Yeah, in a different time I'd ban him. But it's fun to read the creative ways in which people destroy his music. If it seemed to matter to him I wouldn't enjoy it.

Thank you for taking the time to make such a detailed review. I appreciate your honesty. It doesn't really matter if you like it or not. Right now, that's the best we can do.
